INTO THE WIND (Headwind)
-Club up 2–3 clubs to account for lost distance.
-Move the ball slightly back in your stance to lower launch.
-Favor your lead foot with about 60% of your weight forward.
-Grip down an inch for more control.
-Swing at 75–80% speed. Swinging harder adds spin and can cause the ball to balloon.
-Finish low and controlled with a shorter follow-through.
WITH THE WIND (Tailwind)
-Play for extra distance as the wind helps carry the ball.
-Use less club when the wind is adding significant yardage.
-Consider your landing area. Lower spin can change how the ball lands and rolls.
-Take advantage of the wind with your normal, balanced swing.
ACROSS THE WIND (Crosswind)
-Aim into the wind and allow the ball to drift toward your target.
-Start on the upwind side to give yourself room for the wind to move the ball.
-Play your natural shot shape rather than forcing a draw or fade.
-Avoid aiming toward hazards where a gust could exaggerate your miss.
-Commit to your target line and maintain a smooth, balanced swing.
