Day 3 in Louisiana

Took some much needed rest this morning and went to Jungle Gardens and saw a lot of wildlife in their natural habitats. It’s an absolute MUST if you want to get make your way down south to Lafayette!

Now at the evening session to get back to the grind!!

Day 2 is under way with The Jo and working with the best of the best in the trampoline world!! We have learned and are learning so much! We can’t wait to bring it all home with us!!

Training at this level is not for the weak. Jo is killing it even when she thinks she can’t. Give her a shout in the comments!!! She’s a tough cookie already but working at this level of any gymnastics is definitely more difficult and a challenge in itself. 💪🏻💙🤍🩷 We are so proud of you Jo!!

June has started and we have lots of events coming up this month!!

It's a busy month for our summer camps but also our team technique camps too!! Trampoline & Tumbling just wrapped theirs up last Saturday (5/30). We are so excited to see the cheerleaders and gymnasts coming next!!

🍭🍬 Candyland Summer Camp 🍬🍭

Coming up on Tuesday, June 9th from 9:00-1:00 pm - with Venellope von Schweetz and Ralph themed games! Including a giant outdoor game of Candyland (if the weather plays nice) made by our sweet princess Cortlina! If weather doesn't allow, we'll move it indoors!!

Evening session has begun for us down in Louisiana!!

Natalia has the crazy opportunity to work in the same rotation with the National Team members and Olympic athletes including sharing a trampoline with Miss Nicole Ashinger!! 🤩

So awesome!!!

Jo, Brian, and myself headed Lafayette, Louisiana on Saturday for a trampoline camp at one of the most prestige gyms in the trampoline world! Trampoline & Tumbling Express is the home to many Olympic athletes and National Team Members!!

Today was the first day with a one on one session with Olympic Trampoline & Tumbling Coach Dmitri Poliaroush! Such an amazing moment and cool opportunity for our family and gym but even more for Natalia!

Fun fact, skills are called many different names, but ultimately, the skill is the same across the board. For example, a back handspring, has the most nick names by far!

Here's the biggest question...

If it has different names, does it mean it has different technique and ex*****on of the skill?

NO!

A back handspring is a back handspring. A cartwheel is a cartwheel, a forward roll is a forward roll. Technique and ex*****on should remain the SAME regardless of the program that uses it!

Our skill charts translate to the other programs within our gym because of this reason, making it easier for athletes to do multiple programs OR to try one over the other!

May we take a moment to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

These girls and their relationship with each other and their teammates is something you can’t describe with words. They are the perfect combination of sugar and spice. They just wrapped up the 6a state championships diving competition!

Layla finished 14th and performed new dives she didn’t know she could do and learned so much about herself! Next year will be even better and I cannot wait for her to start training for it!

Rhiannon finished 5th after not even knowing if she would be able to dive at all. She was fully released a few weeks ago and picked up right where she left off and even upgraded a few dives. Im gonna miss this one. She will always have a special place in my heart even though she is absolutely feral and wants to push me in the pool. 😂🫣 I’m gonna miss you my feral little peanut.

To say I’m proud of these two does not do my feelings justice. They made my dive coach experience so much fun and extremely rewarding. So Layla, Rhiannon and all my divers before you, thank you.
