How to Rig It (Running Trace Setup)
Slide an egg-shaped sinker onto your mainline
(weight depends on depth, current & wind)

I have personally used this slide countless of times and with great success and is very effective when targeting Leerie/garrick, kob, big shad, GT and a host of other species.

Terminal tackle needed:
Elbe weighted slides
Sensation Kendal round 7/O hooks
Maxima Ultragreen .70mm to 1mm.

First tie the bait securing 7/O with a snell knit leaving enough tag end to tie the stinger hook with a 3 turn figure 8 knot.
I prefer a longer slide trace of about 1m-1.2m so that the live bait has enough "room" to swim naturally whilst still sending out distress vibrations.

Second step is to tie the Elbe weighted slide to the slide trace with a 3 turn figure 8 knot.
Prefer the weighted slide from the shore as it is easier to slide out a live bait, especially along our wave riddled coastline.

Remember to adjust your stinger hook link to the size of the livie as well as hook size.
