EEP! ✨ We're a little bit excited.....Our little community is in for a treat! Our wonderful friend Kat is coming on board at Balanced to take a weekly 90 min Ashtanga Practice- starting Wed 8th April at 7pm- woo hoo!
If you've never tried Ashtanga, its a traditional sequenced-based practice that builds strength, flexibility and focus. You'll move through sun salutations, standing postures, sitting postures and inversions all linked by vinyasa transitions, synchronising each movement with your breath.
Expect a physically demanding class that follows a consistent structure, allowing you to track your progress and deepen your practice over time.
Perfect for students looking to establish a stronger practice or deepen their understanding of traditional yoga. Suitable for Intermediate and experienced yogis who are looking for their next challenge.

We’re thrilled to have partnered with the wonderful folk at Solider On to deliver a ‘Simple Steps to Wellness” event this Saturday Morning 17th January- Free Yoga & Meditation in the gardens of Old Parliament House followed by morning tea and talk in the Courtyard cafe- from 9.30am!

This week the wonderful Balanced Teachers and Karma Cleaning community got together in Griffith for our end of year Do- the theme being Potions and Prosecco! 🥂🔮✨
Gosh- what a night! It was so so lovely learning about different herbal additions to mocktails / cocktails and learning how to read our very own tea leaf readings! All with a cheeky prosecco or two!
We had a blast! It was a massive turnout and we were all just so thrilled to see each other - through the year we’re always such ‘ships in the night’ - teaching our classes, and only seeing each other for those small windows of time in between. As I looked around at one point at a break in the proceedings, I was just so struck by how truly lucky we are- this wonderful group of folk who lead us in our practice each week and create such a lovely culture and welcoming vibe that we all feel when we walk in the door of our yoga home. 🥹🥰 We are so so lucky! It was a night filled with belly laughs, lots of full faced grins and many hugs. (And more than one trip back downstairs to pick up more Prosecco!)
Thank you so so much for having us, we all had such a fabulous time! 🙏✨🌿

✨ THURS 18TH DEC- TWILIGHT YOGA & LIVE MUSIC ✨

So- I need to rave about this experience a little bit....one of my favourite classes I've been to in Canberra! I loved it so much I begged Kim and Rohan to come and offer their magic to our little community!!
Imagine a uniquely delicious flow / yin blend class with Kim, set to live music intuitively matched to your movement - then as the sun sets, lying in Savasana as Rohan sings and plays as your body unwinds - JUST MAGIC.....GOOSEBUMPS & TEARS!!
Honestly- I can't explain what a deliciously nourishing experience it was- and the perfect way to finish up the busy year. Its a MUST!!!
