Ever feel like you’re last on your own list… all day, every day?

You’re pouring into your children, your home, your work — and by the end of the day, there’s nothing left for you.

And then comes the guilt when you even think about putting yourself first.

But here’s the shift:

Putting yourself first doesn’t mean neglecting your children.

It means filling your cup.
Regulating your nervous system.
Reconnecting with who you are.

Because when you feel grounded, present, and resourced…
You show up differently.

Not just in your parenting —
in your whole life.

This part of Shelby’s story really stayed with me.

She shares how she found herself in a loop —
Wine at night.
Coffee to survive the morning.
Counting down until 4 or 5pm.

Functioning… but not liking how she was living.

Not because she was “bad.”
Not because she didn’t care.

But because her nervous system was exhausted.

And then Reconnected Parenting popped up.

A seed had been planted a year earlier.
This time, she was ready.

She joined a free offering.
A breathwork session.

And something shifted.

This wasn’t the intense, huff-and-puff style many people associate with breathwork.

It was long.
Slow.
Full breaths through the nose.

Parasympathetic activation.
Safety.
Softening.

And that gentle reset helped her step out of the coping loop and into something steadier.

If this resonates — especially if you’re in a similar cycle — this episode is worth your time.

Breathwork isn’t about perfection.
It’s about returning to safety in your body.

Is It Normal for a Toddler to Regress After a New Sibling? 30/07/2026

Potty trained. Sleeping through. And then... suddenly, not.

Regression after a new sibling isn't a step backward.

It's communication.

Your toddler doesn't have the words for "I'm scared things are changing," so their body says it instead.

And the timeline for "normal" is longer than most people tell you.

The full breakdown is on the blog. Link in bio. If you'd like support through this stretch, 1:1 sessions are available through the Joyful Parenting Project.

Is It Normal for a Toddler to Regress After a New Sibling? Potty training undone, sleep falling apart, tantrums back? Here's why toddler regression after a new sibling is normal — and what the real timeline looks like.

Motherhood doesn’t just add a new role to your life.

It transforms you.

Some parts of you grow louder.
Some parts go quiet.
And some parts… feel like they’ve disappeared completely.

Your creative self.
Your social self.
Your sensual self.
Your silly self.

But what if she isn’t gone?

What if she’s just been waiting?

In this episode, we explore the transition from Maiden to Mother — and the quiet work of rediscovering yourself inside motherhood.

Not by going back to who you were.

But by allowing a new version of you to emerge — deeper, wiser, more expansive.

And maybe… that version of you is exactly who your children need to witness.

If you’ve ever felt a little lost in the blur of giving and doing, this conversation is for you.

What if we treated life like a game?

Think about it.

When you enter a new world in a game, what do you do?

You build what you want.
You go where you want.
You design the experience you’re here to enjoy.

You don’t sit there paralysed thinking,
“What if I get it wrong?”
“What if this fails?”
“What if people judge me?”

You play.

And yet in real life, we tighten.
We stress.
We treat every decision like life or death.

In this conversation with Bree , there’s this beautiful shift:

It doesn’t matter.

Not in a careless way —
but in a liberated way.

You can create what you want.
If it works, beautiful.
If it doesn’t, that’s information.

That kind of freedom doesn’t come from bypassing.
It comes from years of inner work.
From loosening the grip of fear.

What if we approached our lives with curiosity instead of control?
With experimentation instead of perfection?

What would you build?
Where would you go?
Who would you become?
