We made the trip to Moruya on Friday with a pair of runners, and it was a case of so close, yet so far for Rockabye Roxy.

Partnered by Shaun Guymer, the mare went within an inch of breaking through when producing a brave effort to finish a narrow second in the 1425m Maiden Plate.

Meanwhile, Acheson, ridden by Jess Brookes, enjoyed a solid hit-out in the 1200m Benchmark 74 Handicap as he continues his preparation towards next month's NarranderaCup.
