HOW GOOD IS PROGRESS!!!

When asked about what Clare’s best achievement with EdgeFit in the last 12 month was, she exclaimed “progress” without skipping a beat

A testament to coach Jake’s relentless effort in making all of his clients fitter and stronger.

Clare now has bragging rights with notable more muscle mass and definition in her shoulders and biceps - an area she hadn’t had much success with in the past

Congratulation’s Clare and Jake 💪🏼

A best case scenario for getting back to training and not letting a potential life-altering injury keep you away from movement

Quick disclaimer - no two injuries are the same and there are a ton of variables that play in to the success or length of someone’s recovery.

This video is to show that doing what you can, when you can plays a very necessary part in recovery and keeping you ticking along in the mean time.

It’s also more the reason to hit the weights and set yourself up right

Lara entered this years 9 week challenge to see what’s possible when you combine good nutrition, sleep and exercise together and work hard to make them all a priority🙌

For Lara, this meant a total body composition change of:
✅ -6.3kg
✅ -3.5cm off hips
✅ -3cm off waist

But perhaps most notably, Lara’s lower back pain improved out of sight.

Coach Jake kept Lara pushing heavy weights throughout this challenge. Despite losing weight her legs and core were still able to adapt and grow stronger, taking the pressure off her back.💪🏼

When a good resistance program meets locking in on the little things it’s amazing to see what unexpected benefits arise

⭐️If you’re reading this and know it’s time for you to lock in for yourself - let US take the guesswork OUT OF IT🏋️

Returning back to training post holiday can be daunting. It may feel like you’re back to square one, like you’ve lost everything you worked hard for, or even launch you back into unhelpful habits.

As tempting as it can be to launch hard back into training, your body will be grateful if you slowly ease back into things and get the little things right, rather than picking up where you’d left off.

That means:
- Getting on top of your diet
- Setting healthy sleep habits
- Moderate exercise
- Allowing your body to adapt and recover at a reasonable pace

Follow these tips and get in touch to see how we can help you transform your health 💪🏼

GET YOUR FIRST PULL UPS!
Step 1 - Reverse rows
Choose an angle you can get about 8-12 reps with. Once it’s too easy keep decreasing the angle

Step 2 - Dead hangs
This is to get your upper back and forearm muscles used to being in a position as well as improve your grip strength. Aim for 30 seconds without dropping

Step 3 - Pull ups with bands
Choose a resistance you can get about 8 reps with. Once it starts getting easier slowly make your way down the resistance levels

Step 4 - Controlled negatives
Throw yourself up and control as much as you can on the way down. Repeat until you can’t physically do any more

(all of these should be programmed SMART! not just thrown in here and there)

PB ALERT 🚨

Check out the progress from superstar Clare with an amazing +5kg improvement on her deadlift!

Between night work and being a full time mum, Clare is still able to put on notable strength and muscle gains month to month!

Clare started her lifting career in her early 50s, which makes this deadlift improvement even more impressive!

Deadlifts are a tricky movement to nail down even for younger lifters. And even with this strength improvement you can see more strength through her back / legs and tighter form throughout the lift 💪🏼

A testament to how it IS NOT TOO LATE TO START!
