🛑 Stop snacking. Have 3-4 filling meals every day. Picking & grazing at bits of this & bits of that is killing your progress. It feels like you’re not eating much, and you’re right, but you’re probs still eating in a calorie surplus = not losing body fat. 

🏋️‍♀️ Non negotiable 3 resistance training sessions + 1 cardio session. If all you do is lose weight then you’ll end up with a body with no shape. Skinny is sh*te. Tone comes from building muscle. 

💦 Drink at least 3L water every day. It helps keep hunger at bay & leaves your skin & your brain fresh & glowy. Add some sugar free juice, fruit, or flavoured water. Whatever it takes, but get it doon ye. 

💪🏼 Eat at least 20g protein per meal & half the plate MUST be salad or veg. Toast & PB ain’t gonna cut it love, and your goals ain’t happening without enough protein. 

🚶‍♀️Walk EVERYWHERE. As much as you can.  Do not underestimate the impact adding more steps will have on your progress. I don’t care if its raining. I dont care if its 9pm, or 6am. It gets done.

Confidence isn’t something most people are born with.

Starting strength training was the turning point for me, it changed that voice inside that I wasn’t good enough, and I will always credit it as the driver for the life I live now, and most importantly how I feel about myself 🥰

This lil firecracker is the gorj Nikki ❤️

Nikki has been a runner for some time now, but much to her frustration, no matter how many miles she clocked up she never felt her body change shape. 😤

She was fit, but she wanted:

➡️ To get rid of her “mum tum”

➡️ Wear her bikini with confidence this year, for the first time since having her babies.

➡️ Get stronger, see more muscle definition, and feel like an all round badass in the gym.

So I got to work…

Nikki is part of my strong gals group program - Eat, Train, Lift

✅ As a busy, working mama she does my Short & Snappy program which means she is in & out the gym within 35 mins.

✅ Her wee fam is priority no.1 and she didn’t want to give up days out or holidays, so I set her a nutrition strategy so that she could get the head down & stay in her deficit during the routine days, and allow her a bit more flexibility for her family curry nights, and family day trips.

✅ Nikki was already motivated, but she needed that accountability & a watchful eye to keep her on track, and she got just that with her check ins with me, and my fabulous community of likeminded women behind her.

And now…

💅 She’s currently on holiday ROCKING the bikini & feeling confident AF.

💅 Her midsection is tighter.

💅 Her glutes & shoulders are starting to pop with definition.

💅 And she’s not felt overwhelmed or like sticking to the plan was “too much” because it slots in perfectly with her already busy life.

I’ve been the gal who done zero exercise, then the sweaty hot mess up the front row of Metafit 6x per week, then one of the only women in the weights area of a bodybuilding gym, eating, sleeping & breathing DBs, fasted cardio & chicken & broccoli.

And, here’s the thing - none of them felt great 👎

I have some BIG loves in my life…

🍕Pizza
🤸‍♀️Fun & Adventures
💪🏼 Feeling like a strong ass queen

None of these extremes let me have all of my fave things at once.

I made the mistakes, figured out how to get where I wanted to be & found where true “balance” is at. It’s WHY I became a coach.

I don’t have rock hard abs now, I can’t smash out as many burpees in a row…

BUT, I feel strong, powerful, confident in a bikini & eat pizza every week. I also have loads of fun & adventure with my wee family in tow. 🥰

That for me is solid GOLD.

So, if you’re struggling to find that middle ground…

You wanna feel strong, fit, and have more muscle definition, but you don’t wanna give up life to do it, then you’re among pals here.

Just my Friday two pence on the matter because I’m hearing stuff like this more often than I like 😤

Don’t get me wrong - losing fat to purely shrink yourself is not a value I hold as a coach, or as a woman 🙅‍♀️

But feeling shamed for having a physique goal when you’re doing it for you?

Kinda the opposite of body positivity in my book.
