What a beautiful week of practice. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who stepped onto the mat with us these past mornings. I truly loved looking around the Mysore room and seeing everyone so engaged in their own practice - working, exploring, breathing, with the attention turned inward. There is something very special about practising together while each person is quietly on their own journey.

Tomorrow is New Moon 🌑, which means the shala is closed for practice.

And then on Sunday, we welcome Luke Jordan Yoga back to Ghent! ✨
From Sunday through Friday, our regular Mysore programme will pause while we immerse ourselves in six days of practice, chanting and study together. All active memberships will automatically be extended by 6 days.

To everyone joining the intensive: I’m so looking forward to sharing this week with you. 🙏

And if you’re not joining us this time, we’ll meet again the following Sunday at 8am for Led Half Primary into Mysore.

Enjoy the Moon Day. Rest, slow down, and see you back on the mat soon. 🌑🤍

A new week on the mat 🤍✨

Mysore practice is on Monday through Thursday this week, so roll out your mat and make the most of these mornings together 🧘‍♀️

🌙 Friday is Moonday — the shala is closed.

After that, our regular Mysore programme takes a little one-week pause as we welcome Luke Jordan Yoga for his 6-day intensive. So happy to have him back with us! 🙏✨

All memberships will of course be extended for the days of the pause.

And… we still have a few spots left for Luke’s intensive 👀
If you’ve been thinking about joining, consider this your little nudge. All levels are welcome. 🤍

📩 Send me a message or check the website for all the details.

But first… see you Monday morning for Mysore!

Get on your mat.
Practice.
See what unfolds. ✨

Back home after two truly magical weeks of Summer School with Luke Jordan Yoga . 🤍

It’s hard to put into words how nourishing, inspiring and deeply connecting these two weeks have been. And now, more than ever, I can’t wait for you to meet Luke too and to experience a little of the space he creates.

That might actually be my biggest wish: that our community gets to experience some of what I’ve been so lucky to experience these past two weeks. ✨

Luke will be with us in Ghent in just three weeks, from 13–18 September. If you’ve been thinking about joining, don’t wait too long. I would absolutely love to share this week with you.

And tomorrow… I’m back in the Mysore room! 🥰 So happy to return to our morning practice and to support and guide you again.

A huge thank you to Stacy Ingham for holding the shala these past two weeks, and to everyone who supported her and each other while I was away. I feel incredibly grateful for the beautiful community we’re creating together. 🤍

Blanche and I will be there tomorrow morning, and we can’t wait to see you. 🐾

See you on the mat. ❤️

Can we see what is actually here before the mind tells us what it means? 👁️

One of the themes we’ve been exploring with Luke Jordan during the first week at Summer School is the connection between Yoga and Nonviolent Communication.

Or perhaps, how they are not really separate at all.

Both invite us to begin with observation.

In yoga, Patanjali speaks of the vṛttis, the movements and fluctuations of the mind. We experience something, and almost immediately the mind responds: remembering, comparing, imagining, judging, creating a story.

In NVC, we practice distinguishing observation from evaluation:
What actually happened, before I add what I think or feel it means?

And isn’t this exactly what we practice on the mat?

Can I observe my breath without immediately trying to change it?
Can I feel tension without calling it bad or having a story about it?
Can I notice that an asana feels different today without turning it into I’m getting worse?

Pratyakṣa: direct perception.

Again and again, the practice invites us back to what is actually here.

Before judgement.
Before interpretation.
Before the story. ✨

Maybe this is one of the most beautiful things we can take from our practice into life: creating a little more space between what is and what we make it mean.

And very soon we get to continue this exploration together: Luke Jordan Yoga will be joining us in Ghent from September 13–18 for six days of Mysore practice, chanting, exploration and inquiry. 🤍

🔝Registration is still open: link in bio. Come practice and explore with us. ✨
