The Island Gymnastics Academy is pleased to recognize Janice Hicks as our April Employee of the Month!

As a coach, Janice guided her athletes to tremendous success this season, culminating in an Atlantic Championships Team Award for her athletes. Her gymnasts also earned numerous All-Around and Event medals at the Championships, reflecting her dedication, expertise, and commitment to athlete development.

In her administrative role, Janice continues to work diligently alongside our Recreation Director, Hayden Barrett, providing mentorship and support. She also works closely with our Executive Director, sharing valuable corporate and technical knowledge that contributes to informed decision-making and the ongoing success of the Academy.

Janice was also a key member of the team responsible for the outstanding decorating and presentation of our facility during the Atlantic Championships. Whether the task is large or small, Janice is always ready to jump in and help. Her “get-at-it” attitude, reliability, and dedication to seeing projects through to completion make her an invaluable member of our team.

Thank you, Janice, for your continued dedication and contributions to the Island Gymnastics Academy. We are grateful for everything you do and are proud to recognize you as our April Employee of the Month. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Allie, Nealah, and Isaac for competing at Nationals in Oshawa, Ontario, last week! And shout out to Allie for making it to DAY 2 of the event! We are SO proud of you all, your hard work, and commitment to the sport. Amazing work! 🩵🤸‍♂️

We completed another term of our classes in Vernon River for this year. 💪 Amazing work to all, and a special thanks to coach Mary and Mr. Rand for an awesome year of coaching! See you in the fall! ☀️🤸‍♂️

This weekend, we held our annual Spring Gymfest, showcasing the talent and hard work of many of our athletes. ⭐️ The event featured performances from our second-year Mini Tumblers, as well as routines from our Advanced Recreation and Grades 7-12 group. It was a wonderful demonstration of the dedication, effort, and progress these athletes have put in throughout the season. Amazing job, everyone! 🏅🤸‍♂️
