Cows! I love cows. Here are a couple of old photos of me with cows. In the second one, I am on the cow. It was likely Polly. She was a good girl. My grandma used to name all of her cows. Haha.

Some mandala dot art rocks I have done recently. Trying to find some time to calm down and relax. It’s been a crazy summer.

I have been following a group on FB about small scale cut flower gardening. I have been leaning some new tips about how to make cut flowers last longer. I cut these yesterday morning and put them in the basement for the day in a cool room. I arranged them this morning. I will see if they last longer with the tips I have added to my routine. Unfortunately I’m in a bit of a hurry this morning (not the mindset I like when arranging flowers), so I struggle with my glads. I should have ran out to my garden and grabbed some more filler plants for that arrangement for the space between the lower ones and the tall glads, but I don’t have time. I might add to it later today when I get home from volunteering at Bingo. Anyway, enjoy the bright colors of the summer season. Flowers included are yarrow, zinnia, snap dragons, cerinthe, gladiolus and statice.

What in your fridge? Ours is full of raspberries and so is the freezer! What an amazing year for berries! My raspberry patch isn’t even that big but the cans are loaded with berries. I pick them almost every day. As long as a storm doesn’t get them, we should have them for another week and a half. They are a lot of work (digging runners, cleaning them out and picking the berries), but it’s worth it!!

How can you tell it’s raspberry picking season?

Today’s bouquet. It’s kind of like a “wild flower” bouquet. It’s just a bunch of stuff that is ready right now.

First pick of the season! If all goes well we are going to have a ton of raspberries. We don’t share these lol.

This is pure love. I have never seen a cat love another cat so much. From the moment we got Loki, he has been obsessed with his much older brother Thor. Right now he is just staring at Thor while he sleeps. He often sleeps right on top of him or buries his face in Thor’s body. If Thor walks into a room and Loki sees him, he goes running over to him and gives him the biggest head butt. If we lock Thor in our bedroom, Loki cries at the door. If Loki can’t see Thor, we can hear him wandering the house calling to him. Thor is very old. I don’t know what Loki is going to do when he is gone.

More summer flowers in bloom!! It’s always sad to see the spring flowers die but then this happens soon after.
