This audio/video has been making the rounds so couldn’t resist 🤤
BJJ may help you annihilate the haters but….The takedown footage says we may need to workshop that plan 😂🥋
In all seriousness, this isn’t a “look how bad this celebrity is at grappling” post. Everyone starts somewhere and he’s probably a lot better with a blue or purple belt by now.
BUT… it does give us a perfect excuse to talk takedowns for BJJ.
As a judo black belt who’s spent a lot of time wrestling and training BJJ, there are a few things I’d change here—and a few simple options I think transfer really well to the sport.
You don’t need a 40-move takedown highlight reel.
You need:
🥋 A couple reliable entries
🤼 Options that work with BJJ posture and grips
🔗 Attacks that chain together when Plan A inevitably doesn’t work
🧠 Enough practice that you can actually hit them against someone who doesn’t want you to
Because unfortunately, “I’ll just pull guard” isn’t going to help you annihilate your enemies.
If you want to set your self up for bjj success, go check out a local club like Halifax BJJ Society 😁

Week 1 ➡️ Week 2.
Patricia is coming up on 3 weeks post total knee replacement, and the difference in her active hip flexion in just one week speaks for itself.
No magic exercises. No rushing the process.
Just following the rehab protocol, getting appropriate movement and exercise, resting, recovering, and eating well.
Recovery isn’t about doing more as fast as possible. It’s about doing the right amount, at the right time, and giving your body what it needs to adapt.
Pretty incredible what one week of consistent work + good recovery habits can do.
Working through an injury or coming back from surgery? DM “HEAL” and I’ll reach out.
Send this to someone who needs a reminder that progress adds up quickly when you do the basics well.

Saying see ya later to Devon Nelson
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dev in group training and 1-1 PT since late 2023 and it’s been amazing to see the gains he’s made in that time.
Ideal client through and through, if I said jump he said how high, and always appreciated the method to the madness, not to mentioned loved to train in the same way as me (which is the best way if I do say so myself).
In the quest to get stacked, jacked, and athletic, Devon has set monster PRs in deadlifts, jump distance, sprint speed, and even managed to pack on 12lbs during our time together in personal training 🥩💪
I’m gonna miss working with ya, and best of luck in the future!
