Since 2020 ⏳️, I stayed consistent with my training, but my body wasn't responding the way it once did. Since starting HRT and restoring my estradiol levels, my recovery, energy, and ability to build and maintain muscle have improved!
HRT isn't magic—I still put in the work. But for me, it was the missing piece.
At 49, I'm finally seeing my body respond again.

Almost 50 (in 4 months ⏳️)
My weight has gone up. My weight has gone down.
Life has done the same.
Over the years I've faced loss, heartbreak, stress, menopause, exhaustion, and seasons where taking care of myself felt harder than ever. Menopause alone changed my body in ways I wasn't prepared for. The things that worked in my late 30's and early 40s didn't always work the same anymore.
But one thing never changed:
I kept showing up.
Not perfectly. Not every day. Not without setbacks.I kept weight training.I kept moving.
When life knocked me off track, I got back on track.
Research continues to show that strength training is one of the most powerful things we can do as we age—for maintaining muscle, supporting bone density, improving metabolic health, preserving independence, and helping us navigate the hormonal changes that come with menopause.
The goal was never perfection.
The goal was always to keep going.
So if you're in a season where your body feels different, your motivation is low, or life has thrown you a curveball, remember this:
You don't need to start over. You just need to start again.
And again.
And again.
Because consistency over time will always beat perfection.
❤️ Almost 50, still lifting, still learning, and still showing up.

Back in June 🌞🌞of last year, we had a check-in with this client.
We adjusted her program a few times… and this is what 10 months can do.
I’m so proud of her.
Stop scrolling. Stop contemplating. Start showing up. 💪
And if you can’t do it alone… get someone to help you.
Discipline = results = motivation.
She is 69 and stronger than ever!!! 🔥

“I have muscle… so why doesn’t it always look defined?”🤔🤔
Because what you see isn’t just muscle. It’s muscle, body fat, lighting, angles, and whether you just finished a workout or not. What most people don’t realize…
You can be strong. You can be consistent. You can be building muscle…without looking “cut” all the time.
Sometimes social media has convinced people that if you don’t look lean 24/7, you’re doing something wrong. That’s not true. Muscle doesn’t disappear when you’re relaxed.
Progress doesn’t disappear when there’s no pump. Your body doesn’t need to look perfect to be powerful. Keep showing up. Keep lifting. The results are there even when they’re not screaming at you in every photo. 💪

Spring🌻 is here! Looking forward to longer days, no snow, and the sun rising earlier and earlier! My favorite time of the day- driving to the gym as the sun is coming up.

Check in with Andrea’s progress! She’s been training with me 3 times a week for over a year, focusing on her health, staying active, and boosting energy. Andrea is committed, feeling stronger, and moving better. Fitness isn’t just something you do, it’s who you become. Disciplined, committed and focused. Just remember that you are not timebound in this journey. This will become an ongoing relationship with yourself and your health😊
