• Registration for the Mobile Optimist Sailing School goes live at 12:00 PM on March 20th.

• From Fort St. James to Revelstoke, Nakusp, and Osoyoos, MOSS is the perfect way for young sailors to build skills, confidence, learn about environmental stewardship, and have a ton of fun.

Coastal Personal Survival Course (CPSC): Space is available in the Saturday February 28 CPSC class at Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club and in the Saturday March 7 CPSC class at West Vancouver Yacht Club

The Coastal Personal Survival Course (CPSC) is a one day course for experienced sailors who are participating in coastal and near-coastal events and passages. In British Columbia, this includes events such as the Southern Straits Race, Patos Island Race, and Swiftsure Race.

Offshore Personal Survival Course (OPSC)

Space is available in the Friday-Saturday April 17-18 and Sunday-Monday April 19-20 classes at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club

The Offshore Personal Survival Course (OPSC) is a two day course for experienced sailors who are participating in offshore and oceanic events and passages. In British Columbia, this includes events such as the Van Isle 360 and the Vic-Maui International Yacht Race. Internationally, this includes events such as Transpac, Pacific Cup, Newport to Bermuda, Rolex Sydney Hobart, Fastnet, and the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC).

⛵Coach the Mobile Optimist Sailing School this summer!

• BC Sailing is hiring two experienced, self reliant instructors to deliver MOSS programs across British Columbia. Spend your summer on the water, travel to communities around the province, and make a real impact growing sailing in new places.

• We are looking for CANSail 1-4 certified instructors with Coach Boat Safety, Standard First Aid, Safe Sport, a valid Class 5 driver’s license, and Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card.
