What a way to start the season! Our first match back saw Bangor 2 secure a 34–22 win over Larne 1.

We started strongly, leading 7–4 after Q1 and extending our lead to 18–9 at half-time. Mia Graham (GS) and Chloe Creighton (GA) worked brilliantly together in the shooting circle, showing great movement and understanding to keep the goals coming.

Through the mid-court, Lorne Logan (C), Rosyln Neill (WA) and Yazmin Porter (WD) worked tirelessly to move the ball up to the circle edge and create opportunities. In Q3, Yazmin came off for a well-earned rest, with Chloe McAvera stepping into WD and bringing some fresh legs to the court.

At the back, Shannon Garvan (GK) and Caoimhe Fenlon (GD) kept the pressure on, producing some fantastic turnovers and giving Bangor valuable possession.

We finished Q3 26–17 before seeing the game out 34–22. A brilliant team effort and a great start to the season!

🏐 MATCH REPORT 🏐

On Friday 25th September, Bangor 1s took to the court against a tough Crumlin 1s side for our FIRST MATCH OF THE PREM!!! 💙💛

From the first whistle, Bangor brought high intensity and plenty of fight, challenging for every ball. In attack, Lucie Young (C) and Aimee Trainer (WA) worked brilliantly together to drive the ball through court and create opportunities for Rachael Gowdy (GA) and Ali McClune (GS) in the circle, who worked hard to convert their opportunities. Despite a strong start, Crumlin edged the first quarter 15–8.

In the second quarter, Amelie Reid came onto WA and Bangor continued to work hard as different combinations were tested across the court, allowing the team to adapt and build new connections. The defensive unit put in a huge shift, with Rebecca Mayne (WD) working tirelessly to disrupt Crumlin’s attack and pick off important interceptions. Caoimhe Fenlon (GD) and Miki Dunlop (GK) battled hard in the circle, putting pressure on the shooters and competing for every rebound.

More changes were made throughout the game, and although Crumlin continued to extend their lead, Bangor kept fighting right through to the final whistle, showing great determination and resilience throughout all four quarters.

While the result wasn’t what we wanted, there is so much to take away from our first experience of Premier League netball. There are lessons to learn, connections to build and plenty to look forward to as the season continues.

Our heads are held high, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent Bangor on the Premier League stage. 💙💛

We’re really pleased to share some fantastic news ahead of the 26/27 season🎉

We’re delighted to announce that we have secured two amazing sponsors for our club this season:

MINI NETBALL IS BACK ‼️🥰💙💛

We are delighted to announce the return of our mini netball programme! We have a number of spaces available for P5/P6/P7 for this coming season.

We will be running the programme from Monday 28th September for 10 weeks at Bangor Aurora.

First come first served so please email an expression of interest to [email protected] with your child’s name and their school year for the academic year 2026/27.

To kickstart fundraising for our club, this summer we are going to do a World Cup sweep!

£10 entry for a team. This is not only open to club members, get parents, partners and friends involved too! The more entries we have, the more raised for our club.

Draw will take place on 7th June - so get your entries in quick!
