Great news for Harvey James on his 23rd birthday.

Harvey’s bout, scheduled for this Saturday at the Torbay show, will now be contested for the U85kg Elite Challenge Belt.

Both Harvey James and Max Barnes will be looking to bring titles back home!

Let’s get down there and support our own.

This Saturday, Max Barnes and Harvey James will be competing on the Torbay Boxing Club show.

Max will be boxing for the U65kg Western Counties Development Challenge Belt against a familiar opponent, looking to shake off any ring rust before the prestigious Haringey Box Cup.

Harvey James is stepping up a weight class, looking to finish an already strong season with another good performance after making plenty of progress.

Great sparring today, with all three rings in action. Perfect preparation for Max and Harvey, who are boxing next Saturday on the Torbay show, and for Will, Ryan, Daisy and Max ahead of the Haringey Box Cup, starting on 12 June.

Thank you to Parkstone and Lympstone for coming down. We look forward to getting more rounds in the future.

Also, thank you to the Barn Boxing Club for coming down on Wednesday night.

The Trowbridge show has been cancelled for reasons outside of our control.

Max Barnes and Harvey James will next be boxing on June 6th at the Torbay show.

On Saturday, Daisy Allinson boxed against a strong opponent who has previously boxed for England. Despite a good performance showing continued improvement, she did not get the decision.

This Sunday, Max Barnes and Ronny Scott are both boxing for the Development Challenge Belts in Trowbridge. This is a local show, so let’s make sure we get down there and show support for our own.

Last night, Will had his 30th bout, boxing a top lad, this year's Southern County elite champion and former national champion. Will had a good first round, followed by a close and messy second round, but managed to finish the third round strong to take the win by split decision. Thank you to for having us.

A reminder that our new gym on Bellotts Road is now open, so come down and give us a go!

NAC Semi Finals

Daisy boxes well in a cracking bout but unfortunately falls short against a much more experienced opponent and has to settle for a top four finish in the country in only her 11th bout. We wish her opponent the best of luck in next week’s finals.

The club and all our boxers have come on tremendously, and we are proud of all our boxers representing against the country’s best. Next, we will be gearing up for a successful Box Cup season, with the club attending the Haringey and Riviera Box Cups.

NAC Quarter Finals

Ryan Matthews boxes incredibly well, doing the club proud, but unfortunately loses on a split decision to the number one seed. He has come on leaps and bounds, reaching the last eight in the country and beating numerous opponents significantly more experienced than himself, despite having only 18 bouts! Well done Ryan

Today we now focus on Daisy Allinson, who is boxing in the semi finals.

NAC Pre-Quarter Finals

Ryan Matthews boxed well against a strong, come-forward opponent from the East Midlands, using movement and straight shots effectively to come away with the decision. Ryan now progresses to the quarter-finals, where he will face the number one seed and look to secure his place in the national semi-finals alongside teammate Daisy Allinson.

The whole club is behind Ryan, who is now down to the top 8 in the country after only 17 bouts.
