Bognor Regis Zen Judo Club Is now the Honbu Dojo for The Zen Judo Family (after the closure of Petersfield Zen Judo Club in Love Lane, in 2015).
We practice Judo in a nurturing non-competitive environment. There is a syllabus of throws to learn, designed to ensure no-one gets hurt or is pushed to do anything they don't feel comfortable with and we like to have a fun family atmosphere. Congratulations to Alex on successfully grading to his yellow belt at last mondays session. Thanks to Laurence (grader) and Sensei Martin for stepping in as an uke and overseeing the grading at short notice 🙂

Please note that the ZJF Membership and Mat Insurance is due on the first week of September.
We have managed to keep the annual cost at £15 for 2026/27. Please remember to bring both your blue ZJF membership card and red Kenshindoryu licence book for stamping.

Also remember that we will be holding an introduction course on Saturday 5th September covering both Zen Judo and ZNKR Iaido, all welcome.

August Training Sessions / Fees:
There is 4 training sessions in August.
If you normally pay by bank transfer, there will be training sessions this month (August). If you pay by bank transfer, the total due will be £28 can you also make sure you mark which sessions/month you are paying for (please let me know when you have paid).
If you are unable to attend regularly during the month (and pay up front), please try to pay by cash (£7) for each session when you are able to attend. It makes it easier for us to keep track of session payments.
We still have room for new and returning students.

A quick post to thank Mackenzie Smith for donating a number of large judo gi's for Club use.
Over the years we have managed to pick up (mostly junior size gi's), the odd one from charity shops and occasionally from a helpful parent.
These have been passed on and used by new students. Sometimes we have managed to get them back when they have either stopped training or grown out of them. But over time these have all disappeared.
If anyone knows of or has any plain white judo gi's (not karate), please speak to Sensei Yvonne.
