All hail the King of Firebrands….our newly awarded Clubman of the Year for 2026…Tom Harris!

This is a particularly special one. Tom has worked tirelessly around the Club this season, working with junior players and their families to bring them through into elite level hockey, helping to rejuvenate the Men’s section by actively recruiting players and giving back to the Club by offering his time whenever he could.

Not everyone would get off a long haul flight from their holidays and head straight to Failand to umpire a lower league game, but this legend did. Oh, and he was also the driving force behind the mighty M1s dominant league win, promoting themselves back into National League after an absence of 10 years! Just a small matter… 😉

Tom joins a very special club of people who have been recognised for their services to Firebrands over the years. Having joined the Club as a Junior many years ago, it’s a wonderful full circle moment for those of us who have seen him grow. Congratulations Tom, we are very grateful to you, showing us all what is means to be a Firebrand. 👏🏻🥂🏆

The ladies Masters finished their season’s campaign on Saturday, sadly with a loss against in the quarterfinals of the competition.

Despite this, what a season they’ve had. Going from strength to strength and welcoming new members from across the club. We can’t wait to see where next season takes them. 👏🏻

Great effort by the Men’s over 45s but sadly the cup dream dies in the semi final as we bow out to a strong , great effort and thanks to Captain .crook for driving us forward 🫡😍♥️🏑

Huge congratulations to the all Firebrands’ girls who represented their schools in the U18 Girls School finals this week.

Special mention to Caitlin, Lara and Lucy who came away as champions!! 👏🏻👏🏻

Just in case you were under a rock last weekend, the big news from us was the re-entry into National League for our Men’s 1s! 🍾

After a dominant season (that’s still got games left!), the boys travelled down the M5 on Friday night to battle . After a nervous start, the flood gates opened, the final score was 3-0 and so marked the beginning of a new era for our M1s after 12 seasons away from National League hockey. Huge congratulations to this incredible team and thank you to the travelling supporters who came to cheer us on, flags and horns at the ready! 👏🏻

Special mentions to coach Tom Harris () and captain Hugo Cullum () for leading the squad and creating a team spirit where players thrive. 👏🏻It’s incredible to see both complete a full circle moment by having started their hockey careers at Brands as ‘school boys’ and now leading the way at the highest level. A true testament to them, the Firebands family we have built and this club we call home. ❤️

That said, it’s not over yet. There are still a few weeks of the season left so, if you haven’t seen them in action, do come and have a look. This team is special. ✨🍾
