Up-coming Cambs County Championship Shoots in August 2026

Sunday 9 August – ESK at Priory
Saturday 29 August – Helice at Rugby (This is also the East-Midlands championship)

Please book in direct with the grounds.
We hope that as many Cambridgeshire shooters as possible will support these Championships and look forward to seeing them.

The 2026 Cambridgeshire AR Championship was held at Priory Clay Target Centre on Sunday 26 July. A sudden squall with some much needed rain, greeted the first squad just as they started and this was followed by a very blustery dry day. Congratulations to Championship winner R Allen who also won A Class; Mens – P Barnard who also won AA class; Veterans – R Croft; Colts – J Allen; B Class – C Hall; C Class – G Dunbavin. There were no ladies or junior entries. Congratulations to all the winners
As Champion, Rob Allen also won the £100 high gun prize which was kindly sponsored by Lesley Carter-Gifford in memory of her husband Rod Gifford who, as those who remember him will know, very much enjoyed and was a strong competitor at all round competitions.
Thank you to Natasha, Aaron, John and team and the referees at Priory Clay Target Centre for hosting and running an enjoyable and successful shoot.
The inter-counties AR competition is on Sunday 13 September 2026 at Priory. The teams for this, based on those who shot the county championship, will be posted on Facebook nearer this date so please keep an eye out. Anyone put into the team who is unable to make it is asked to let the team manager know so that replacements can be found to ensure the teams have the sufficient number of competitors for the scores to count

Cambridgeshire All Round Championship 2026

At Priory Clay Shooting Ground
After a bit of a break in County shoots the next one is the All Round Cambs Championship at Priory on 26 July.
Lesley Carter-Gifford has again very generously put up a £100 High Gun prize for the Cambs All Round Championship for the highest CPSA registered Cambridgeshire Shooter. Lesley has put this up in her late husband Rod Giffords name as the All Round competition was one of his favourite shoots of the year. Those of you who remember Rod will know that he was indeed, a very good all round shot.
We hope as many Cambridgeshire shooters as possible will support the All Round Championship and look forward to seeing you at Priory.

hi all we have been a bit quiet for a couple of weeks as no county shoots but we are now getting into the back half of the season and starting to get busy again this is the first of the inter counties competitions for this year and we have a trip up to orston to thank for that we wish all competitors good shooting and hope the weather helps on the day here below is the teams selected to represent Cambridgeshire please book yourself in with the ground and if your not able to be there please let us know so your spot can be filled with the next in line.
