5km PB 🔔 The level keeps rising 📈
If you’re not moving forwards, you’re dying
Chill, it doesn’t have to be running or even fitness based
But we need to be striving to improve something
Always.
The feeling and process is essential 🤝
PB’s in every distance this year and we’re not even half way through
Lfg ✌🏻
Most people don’t fail because they aim too high, they fail because they never demand anything of themselves.
Performance matters, not because anyone else gives a ****, but because you should.
Chasing PBs, pushing your limits, falling short is what life’s all about!
You need to understand that all of the above = growth.
But everyone and everything tells us what we want to hear and rarely what we need to hear.
That “showing up when you feel like it” is enough.
Where being competitive is seen as toxic and pressure is something to avoid.
Pressure shows you what you’re capable of
Failure teaches you more than winning ever will
And your standards shape your future.
If you remove them, don’t be surprised when you stay exactly where you are.
**** settling, start expecting more 😁
All I want is regular running PB’s and a luscious green, w**d free lawn, that’s surely not too much to ask? 🏃♂️ 🪴

Well that was an experience 😅
Marathon cherry popped 🤝
Not sure I’m going to rush back to doing that anytime soon 😂
Aimed high, fell short ❌
But the beauty of setting huge targets?
You train harder, commit further and get a bucket load more from the process
Time to get fast over 21.1 or less…
Honestly who works out for 3+ hours without a break? Madness 😭
Big love for all the support and messages, none of them go unnoticed 🫶🏻

9 weeks out 🤝
Even though I raced a half marathon last weekend
It was a low mileage week to look after a shin splint flare up
The temptation to jump straight back up to 90km was real to ‘catch up’
But sensible pants on and gradual build back up so I don’t end up back at square one again 🧠
Not much speed this week but with marathon training mileage is king 🤴
6 weeks of hard training left…
Still hunting that sub 3 debut LFG 💨 💨
When it comes to running, lifting and your nutrition
Nothing ever goes smoothly for long
There’s always problems
Niggles
Changes in routine
Big social events
None of the above should effect your ‘A Goal’
Providing you adjust and react as soon as they happen
You plan = you succeed
You make out it’s not a big deal?
Ignore it?
That’s when minor issues turn into the reason you fail
I can’t be attempting a sub 3 marathon and not expect to come across problems
The same applies to you and your 2026 goals
Adapt and overcome ✌🏻
This sub 3 marathon isn’t going to run itself
Stacking the miles back up 📈

If you didn’t know:
Carb loading isn’t about eating ‘clean’.
It’s about eating enough and looking after your gut.
The carb-up target for a half marathon is 6-8g/kg carbs.
For me (91kg), that’s over 550g.
That doesn’t happen with salad.
And your body doesn’t care whether the carbs come from organic cous cous or coco pops
It cares about having enough energy so you can crush your race and not hit ‘the wall’ at 16km
😊✌🏻
