Another Stockton team doing well in the Tournament at the weekend 👏

Well done to all the boys today!

A brilliant team effort from start to finish, showing the grit, determination and desire that brought us two promotions and a cup win last season.

To go unbeaten throughout the tournament and concede just 2 goals was a fantastic achievement. Every player played their part. 👏

Special mentions to Jenson, who produced one of his best and most consistent performances in a long time, grabbing a goal and an important assist.

And Jack, our coaches’ Player of the Day. Outstanding at the back, worked tirelessly for the team and even had a bloody nose to show for it! 💪

Tournament News

Stockton Town Tournament 🏆

The Lions played in the Stockton Town tournament today host by Game of Tournaments.

The group stages meant we met last seasons division rivals Bedale in the first of the group game. Bedale took the win but the boys quickly turned it around to win the following two group games and topping the their group league table.
Topping the group putting the Lions through to the semi-final of the gold cup. A 1-0 win against Auckland got the boys into the final.
Unfortunately, Browney FC took the win in the final. The boys can proud of the fantastic effort put into today’s tournament, brilliant football as always!

The team has been invited to attend the Maryville University Elite Soccer Camp in Tennessee after former Billingham resident Jon Baker, who made the same journey himself many years ago, offered today's young players the chance to follow in his footsteps.
