🟣 Ratzeburg Regatta 2026 🟣

DUBC flew out to Ratzeburg International Regatta in Germany to compete against the top crews in Europe over the weekend.

It was an incredible weekend, with both of DUBC’s men’s and women’s 8+ club records falling. We had 4 crews attending; the men’s 1V and 2V and 4+, and the women’s 1V.
The women showed themselves once again as one of the top crews, coming 3rd in the A final on both days. The men’s 1V also showed strong performances, having close battles with Nereus and the German U23 8+.

These results pave an exciting Henley campaign to come. 💪💜

🟣 Scottish Championships 2026 🟣

With some of the squad in Ratzeburg, the majority of the squad was holding the domestic front in Scotland, with some exceptional results.

On Saturday, the women’s 2V won 🥈silver🥈 in women’s eights, very close behind Newcastle’s 1V. Alongside them in the A final the women’s 3V also came 6th, a strong result leading into Henley qualifiers.
Chris Reilly in the Lwt1x came 4th in final D, which is excellent considering he is in his first year of rowing.

On Sunday, the men’s 3V won 🥇gold🥇, an amazing achievement whilst racing other clubs 1V’s. The men’s 4V unfortunately had equipment difficulties, but still had a strong performance placing 7th in the A final.
The Nov 2x both raced well, coming 4th and 5th, showing the depth of the novice program, and Rose in the women’s Nov 1x narrowly missed out on the final, rowing well in the heat.

Overall a great weekend for the club, with the regatta showing the strength in depth within the squad, with promising signs for Henley campaigns.

DUBC has gone international 🌍. Four crews will be racing at Ratzeburg Regatta in Germany this weekend, racing against some of the top crews in Europe ahead of the Henley campaign. We are excited to show the speed we have been building! 💜
