Niamh Flatley, the acclaimed Irish Dancer who performed in Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames and Celtic Tiger, has died at the age of 52.

For those who are new here, I’m Jennifer Hogan Roxburgh — company director, teacher, choreographer and the person behind two things I’m incredibly proud of: award-winning Irish Dance Village and the award-winning Siamsoir Irish Dancers performance troupe. ☘️✨
Irish dance has been a huge part of my life for many years, but what continues to excite me most isn’t simply the dancing itself — it’s what dance can create.
✨ Opportunities.
✨ Confidence.
✨ Friendships.
✨ A sense of belonging.
✨ And, above all, joy.
My passion is creating spaces where dancers can develop, perform, challenge themselves and discover what they are capable of — whatever their age, experience or starting point.
That’s particularly important to me when it comes to adult dancers. Whether you’re returning to Irish dance after many years away, taking your very first steps, or simply looking for something that makes you feel happy and alive, I want Irish dance to feel accessible, welcoming and achievable.
I believe in a holistic approach to dance. Technique matters. Performance matters. Progress matters. But so do confidence, wellbeing, community and enjoying the journey along the way. ❤️
I’m incredibly proud of the dancers, performers and community we have built, and grateful for every person who has trusted me to be part of their dance journey.
There’s still so much I want to create, so many dancers I want to support, and plenty more joy to be found along the way.

Learn to Irish Dance with us. Last few spaces remaining for Beginner and Intermediate classes for this term.
Join our friendly, adult focussed dance classes designed for complete beginner and those returning to Irish dance over two levels of classes each week.
