Welcome to Joyful July 🕊️✨
This month marks my birthday, but more importantly, it marks a commitment to remembering joy—not as a fleeting emotion, but as a state of being.
In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali speaks of Santosha (contentment) as a practice of accepting what is, while still choosing to find the light. Joy is not the absence of struggle; it is the energy that helps us weather the storm.
There is plenty in the world that feels heavy right now. Yet, when we tap into joy—genuine, soul-deep joy—it becomes contagious. It creates a ripple effect. One smile, one deep breath, one moment of gratitude can shift the energy in a room.
This energy is our fuel. It builds resilience, opens our hearts, and reminds us that we are alive. Let’s make this month a practice in seeking joy, spreading it, and standing strong in it.
Armoring ourselves with a vibration so high that challenges cannot break us—joy creates change. When you radiate it, you give others permission to feel it too. Let’s be contagious. Let’s be joyful. 🌞🧘♀️

If you’ve been thinking about trying yoga, chances are one of these thoughts has crossed your mind.
The truth is, you don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or have lots of free time to begin.
Yoga is a practice that meets you where you are. Every student starts somewhere, and every journey looks different.
Our Summer Term is now underway, and we’d love to welcome you to the Edinburgh Yoga Room.
