Sunday 5th July we are hosting a Powerlifting Workshop.

This will focus upon the programming and competition day aspects of powerlifting.

Such as -

Programming -
- Learning commands.
- Competition specificity.
- Peaking, Tapering, Reloading.

Competition Day -
- How a competition runs.
- What the screen means.
- Attempt Selection.
- Warming up.
- Being tactical.

This is ideal for beginners, or people who have competed a few times and just want more knowledge around it all. Or even for people who are interested in actually coaching, too.

We're after a new coach or two, but not just anyone.

You would need to fit in with our community. We're proud and protective of our group, but we're open to expanding it, just in a safe way.

We're LGBTQ+ friendly, ND friendly and we have plans to develop Youth systems and such.

Does this sound like you?

Even if you're not very experienced, or not massively niched in powerlifting or weightlifting.

Get in touch, we can chat!

The aim with our group sessions has always been to mimic the warm up area, or a training hall, kind of environment at competition.

This has multiple benefits-

- The atmosphere is immense. Everyone is super supportive.

- Accountability. You keep coming back to not let your training partners down, even on the days where you're struggling.

- Support. Your team mates will help you load, spot and encourage you at all times.

- Specificity. Competition warm up rooms can be chaotic, knowing how to warm up, change the rack heights and set up the racks/benches can be crucial.

On top of this, everyone involved gets individualised coaching, too. So, you get the benefits of solo training - a specific plan to follow, as well as the benefits of team training - everyone working together in support of themselves and their partners.

Become part of this team today.

Running a business, running a gym, is hard. But I've always wanted community to be at the forefront.
So, when times are a bit hard, I like to look back at the positive impact we've made and, in this case, show it all off.

Our community is excellent, so while I do want more members, more money, etc I dont want to lose what makes the gym what it is.

If you'd like to be part of this community, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. But you have to be sound.

A bit of weightlifting, a bit of powerlifting.

Our bread and butter.

Not this coming Saturday but the one after - bring your friends!

On Saturday the 20th June, members can bring their friends to open or coached sessions for free. This will give them a chance to try out the gym and maybe some coaching.

We just ask that you let us know you're coming, or bringing someone with you, ahead of time so we can manage numbers.

Our long term pain in the neck.

What we're doing is here in the slides. Please get in touch if we can help you with any of it, or if you have any ideas!

What's going on here recently and in the coming weeks/months.

Handing out those leaflets resulted in 20000 steps for me yesterday.
