Many of Moab's best trails were built by uranium prospectors. So used them to ride his Reign Advanced E+ straight into an abandoned mine ☢️

In the 1950s, thousands of prospectors poured into Moab during Utah's uranium boom, hoping to strike it rich. The tracks they carved through the desert now make for some of the best riding in the region, and they've just opened up to Class 1 E-bikes.

Rob followed one of the most famous in the area, "Slickrock Trail", then headed underground. Collapsed roofs. Abandoned rail track. Old boxes of explosives. And a Geiger meter that wouldn't stay quiet.

Wheels removed, wiped down
Bike frame wiped down

Drivetrain and wheels refitted
Chain oiled and wiped
Tires inflated
Set torque on all bolts and fittings
Adjust gears
Adjust brakes
Polish bike

Me with my 2015 Giant Defy0 bought new and serviced at the Giant Docklands store, on the punishing Devil's Elbow climb at this year's Dragon Ride sportive last Sunday. Love this bike, so comfortable and an absolute pleasure to ride. Thanks to all at the store for the great service. So many happy miles.
