Slow and steady back to running after a ni**le that turned into more than a ni**le.

About 4-6 weeks of rehab and I’m eventually getting back out pain free. It might only be 2km at a time but that is more than I could manage 4 weeks ago while I was hobbling about.

Got to keep moving forward now and get the serious training in ready for LDN Marathon 2027

“You don’t mop the floor when you haven’t stopped the leak yet”

Many of my clients have heard that over the years and 9/10 it hits home because it makes
complete sense when you think about it in terms of fitness/nutrition.

Why are you worrying about the finer details when you haven’t got the basics in place.

Why are you concerned about what time you eat when you’re still not in a deficit?

Why are you bothered if you did an extra exercise when your whole workout wasn’t intense enough to grow in the first place?

Fix the leak first. Then let’s concentrate on the finer details.

These are the fundamentals you learn when you start training with me. I won’t sell you the next best supplement and sell you lies. I will give you the tools to completely change your understanding on how fitness works

Progress doesn’t require perfection. Just keep showing up, doing what you can, and stacking the small wins. Your motivation will always find you again if you keep showing up

Something is always better than nothing.

POV: You thought you were just doing 3 sets

Set 1: “My name is Ged
” 😁
Set 2: “My name is Ged
” 😐
Set 3: “My name is Ged
” 😭

Increasing the weight each set because apparently we like making things unnecessarily difficult for the sake of a reel

At least he didn’t make set 1 look difficult đŸ€ŠđŸŒđŸ˜‚

You don’t need to eat as strictly as possible to reach your goals. In fact, for most people, trying to be “perfect” with food is exactly what makes it harder to get there.

Yes, your nutrition matters. But eating well doesn’t mean every meal needs to be perfectly balanced, every calorie needs to be tracked, or that you can never have a takeaway, dessert, a few drinks or a meal out. It means having a way of eating that works with your life, not against it.

đŸ„© Eat enough protein to support muscle, recovery and keeping you fuller for longer.
đŸ„Š Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables to support your health, digestion, energy and micronutrient intake.
🍚 Eat enough carbohydrates to fuel your training, performance and day-to-day life.
đŸ„‘ Include healthy fats to support overall health and keep your diet satisfying.
💧 Stay hydrated and make the basics consistent.
And then

🍕 Have the pizza.
đŸ« Have the chocolate.
đŸș Have a drink with your mates.
Because those foods don’t suddenly undo everything you’ve done.

The physical benefits matter.
A balanced, sustainable diet can help you improve body composition, build and maintain muscle, fuel your training, recover better, regulate your appetite and support your overall health.

The mental benefits.
You shouldn’t feel guilty because you ate something that wasn’t on your “diet”.
You shouldn’t feel like you’ve failed because you went out for dinner. You shouldn’t spend your week thinking about food, restricting yourself, then eventually overeating because you couldn’t maintain the rules you’d created.

And you shouldn’t have to choose between making progress and enjoying your life.

The goal is to create an approach to food that you can actually maintain.Because the best diet isn’t the one that gets you to your goal fastest.
It’s the one that gets you there without making you hate the process and gives you the habits to stay there afterwards.

I went out this weekend and ate what people would say is bad, I had a few drinks and enjoyed myself. Then come Monday morning I picked up my routine and got straight back to what I know. Im not in my own head about it. I enjoyed myself and had a great weekend

Huge congratulations to Lyndsey for achieving something amazing here. She shows up each and every week to her PT session with her husband Matt and then follows that up with 2 Functional Fitness sessions per week and recently started Pilates also to top off 4x sessions per week

This didn’t happen in 8 weeks. It took 12 months and a lot of hard work to achieve a completely new lifestyle that now works for Lyndsey

There were weeks the scale dropped. weeks it didn’t move & weeks it even went back up.

Because that’s what progress looks like.
Training isn’t linear because life is life. S**t happens like holidays. Stress. Busy weeks. Missed sessions. Better weeks. Tough weeks.

I try and drill this in early on with all my clients. I don’t sell them false promises of abs after 8 weeks of absolute perfection which you cant sustain. But consistency and showing up almost all the time, addressing lifestyle & nutrition habits along the way

23.75lb lost isn’t the result of one perfect diet or one intense challenge for a quick before and after while bouncing back to your old weight once your heads fallen clean off.

It’s the result of hundreds of small decisions repeated over and over:
✔ Training consistently
✔ Eating well most of the time
✔ Recovering properly
✔ Showing up even when motivation wasn’t there

I’d rather help someone transform over 12 months and still be living that lifestyle years later than chase a quick before and after that disappears a month later.

The basics done consistently will beat shortcuts every single time. And I will stand by that philosophy forever

Easy8 has done it again.

Helen had 8 weeks before the famous wedding of her daughter Belle and Gareth. Perfect timing to commit to our Easy8 challenge

She changed how she approached nutrition, while generally eating well anyway Helen started focusing on higher lean protein meals and tracking her calories/macros

She trained correctly. Upping her strength training sessions in the form of our Functional Fitness classes along side her usual swimming, Pilates & Yoga

Even when she didn’t feel like it, Helen got herself down to classes and stuck to the plan forming a new positive habit

The result?

She hit her goal weight with plenty of time still to go before the wedding.

Helen went from unconfident in the classes to thriving and has now carried on the Functional Fitness classes each week now Easy8 has come to an end

May Easy8 intake is now open.

If you’re ready to stop messing about and get results
