Adenomyosis Awareness Month 💜
As someone who has this condition, I thought l'd share a little post around it.
Adenomyosis occurs when the lining of the uterus grows into the muscle wall, which can make the uterus enlarged and tender.
There's a few symptoms to consider with this condition, and everyone will be affected slightly differently.
- Heavy or prolonged periods
- Severe menstrual cramps
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Pain during s*x
- Bloating
- Infertility
- Lower back pain
- Fatigue
As a fitness instructor, and a registered midwife, I understand the complexities that come with gynaecology issues. I know how hard it can be just to get a diagnosis, let along manage the symptoms. I also know how much fitness, particularly strength training, can help with symptoms and managing daily life.
Anyone reading this, unsure of how to navigate a chronic gynaecology condition alongside the gym, message me!

I am actually so happy for my client today. She set a goal in her mind when she came to me. She wanted to be just under 70kg.
We chatted a lot. But the goal felt impossible for her when she came to me. She felt completely stuck and in a rut. She felt unconfident and really didn’t know where to turn or what to do…
She signed up for one of my 12 week plans and here we are 👏 11 weeks and 2 days later. Slow and steady weight loss with some birthday treats and cake in there too.
I don’t believe in quick fixes. I believe in consistency. I believe in whole foods. I believe in evidence-based plans. I believe you should still be allowed to live…come on everyone likes cake once in a while 🍰

Hello! I’m Rachel. Fitness instructor, registered midwife and senior lecturer. I started my small fitness business last year after finally taking a leap of faith! I’d been volunteering as a fitness instructor at Moar Coaching Gym for around 2 years before this!

❌ Do anything that isn’t evidence-based

❌ Make generic plans / give generic advice - this is very important. Many coaches dish out the same plan over and over again. I don’t that. Everything is personalised to you, your lifestyle and your goals. I’m not a generic kinda girl!
