💚🖤 FULL TIME | CUP WIN ON THE ROAD 🖤💚

Brynmawr RFC 18–20 Cambrian Welfare RFC

The Welfare came away from Brynmawr with a hard-earned victory and a place in the next round of the cup! 🏆

With just five points separating the sides at half-time (12–7), it was a closely contested game, with the boys getting over the line to seal a two-point win.

Jordan Roberts and Ieuan Chedzoy crossed for our tries, while Jonah Huntley added both conversions and two penalties to complete our 20 points.

🏉 Tries:
Jordan Roberts
Ieuan Chedzoy

🎯 Conversions: Jonah Huntley ×2
🎯 Penalties: Jonah Huntley ×2

A result to be proud of and a win to build on. Thank you to everyone who travelled to support the boys, and to Brynmawr for the game and hospitality. All the best for the rest of the season.

Onto the next round 💚🖤

Our thoughts are with Ferndale RFC at this sad time. We have very strong links with the club and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at Ferndale

🏉🏉❤️❤️

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Clement.

Dai was a valued member of the committee that helped relaunch Ferndale RFC in 1989, and his contribution to the club will always be remembered.

A founder member of the club in 1989, Dai coached our very first Youth team alongside Alan Jonathan. He was also a founder member and past Chairman of Maerdy Junior & Mini RFC.

Dai also represented Ferndale Grammar School, Tylorstown Youth and Tylorstown Seniors, leaving a lasting mark on rugby in our community.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Dai’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

Rest in Peace Dai 💙❤️

All 11 played brilliantly and did themselves, their families and our club proud. Fantastic to see so many of our youngsters representing the district and showing their quality! 💪🏉
