🌼 Bank Holiday Reminder 🌼
Please note that the surgery is closed today due to the Bank Holiday.
If you need urgent medical help while we are closed, please use NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency, always call 999.
☀️ With the warmer weather expected this week, please remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, especially older adults, young children, and those with long-term health conditions.
📞 We would also like to hear your feedback about our new phone system, EMMA.
EMMA was introduced because our reception team were spending a significant amount of time completing eConsults over the phone on behalf of patients. EMMA is now able to complete this process with you directly, helping our team support patients more efficiently.
We are continually reviewing patient feedback about our services and the ways patients contact us. We are currently reviewing all complaints and feedback regarding EMMA, but we would also like to hear what is working well for you.
Please let us know about your positive experiences and what you feel works effectively, so we can include this feedback in our ongoing meetings and reviews of our systems and services.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback 💙

Today, on National Receptionists’ Day, we want to say a huge thank you to our wonderful reception team 💙
Our receptionists go above and beyond for our patients every single day. They are the first friendly face and point of contact when you arrive, always ready to help with appointments, prescriptions, blood forms, and so much more.
Their hard work, kindness, patience, and dedication never go unnoticed, and we honestly couldn’t do it without them.
Thank you for everything you do.
We truly appreciate you all 🌟

🌿 World Asthma Day 🌿
This year’s theme focuses on a vital message: access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma remains an urgent need.
With the right treatment, asthma can be well controlled, but without access to appropriate medication, many people are at risk of avoidable symptoms and asthma attacks. Anti-inflammatory inhalers play a key role in keeping airways calm and preventing flare ups.
LHP's asthma nurse, Charlotte, shares this important reminder:
“It is important that you attend your asthma review as this can help to ensure that your asthma symptoms are being well-managed. It can help to reduce flare ups, or asthma attacks, and can help you to understand your condition better.”
If you’re due your asthma review, please get in touch with the surgery to arrange an appointment.
Let’s raise awareness and support better asthma care for all.

⏰ Bank Holiday Reminder 💊
Check your meds today, do you have enough to last the bank holiday?
To avoid any disruption, please make sure you request any required medication before we close tomorrow (Wednesday 29th April). While we’ll always do our best to help, we can’t guarantee last-minute requests will be processed in time.
It’s important to plan ahead, as keeping an adequate supply of medication is the responsibility of each patient.
We’d also like to remind everyone that our team is here to help. Unfortunately, our staff are sometimes subjected to verbal abuse when urgent requests can’t be fulfilled, this is never acceptable, and abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
✅ Act now and stay prepared
💙 Thank you for your understanding and support

📣 Meet EMMA – Our Virtual Receptionist
When you call the practice, EMMA will answer and ask a few questions to direct your enquiry.
🩺 Medical queries – you’ll receive a secure link to complete an online triage form for our clinical team
📋 Admin queries – EMMA will help route your request to the right team or complete an eConsult for you
☎️ You can still speak to our reception team if needed. EMMA is here to support, not replace them.
💙 What this means for you:
• Faster call answering
• Shorter wait times
• Getting help to the right place quicker
We would like to thank you for your patience while we continue to improve access to the practice.
