πŸ’™ A reminder of our Zero Tolerance Policy

We would like to remind all patients and visitors that The Lodge Health Partnership operates a zero tolerance policy towards abuse of our staff.

Unfortunately, over the past few months we have seen an increase in incidents of verbal abuse towards members of our team. Our staff come to work every day to provide the best possible care and support to our patients, and everyone has the right to work in a safe and respectful environment.

We understand that being unwell can be worrying and frustrating, and that your healthcare needs are important to you. We are committed to helping every patient access the care they need as quickly and safely as possible.

To help us ensure you are directed to the most appropriate clinician or service, please provide as much information as possible when completing your eConsult. This enables our clinical team to assess your needs and ensure you receive the right care at the right time.

We ask that all patients and visitors treat our staff with kindness and respect. Verbal abuse, physical abuse, threatening behaviour and damage to our surgeries will not be tolerated. Any unacceptable behaviour may result in removal from the practice list and police involvement.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us maintain a safe, respectful environment for our staff and patients. πŸ’™

πŸŒπŸ’š Help Keep Our Planet Healthy – Recycle Your Medication Packaging! πŸ’šπŸŒ

As part of our ongoing work with the Green Impact for Health programme, we're looking at the small changes we can all make to reduce waste and protect our planet.

Did you know that many medication blister packs can now be recycled through dedicated pharmacy schemes? By recycling your empty medication packaging correctly, you can help reduce waste and make a positive impact on the environment.

♻️ Where can you recycle blister packs?

πŸ’Š Boots – Over 800 participating stores have blister pack recycling bins, usually located in larger pharmacy branches. You can find your nearest participating store here: https://www.boots.com/shopping/boots-recycling-scheme/blister-pack-recycling

πŸ’Š Superdrug – Many branches with pharmacy services accept all types of empty pill blister packs for recycling.

πŸ›’ Some supermarket pharmacies also provide blister pack recycling bins – it's worth checking with your local store.

Before you recycle:

βœ”οΈ Make sure all tablets or capsules have been removed.
βœ”οΈ Return any unused or expired medicines to your local pharmacy for safe disposal – please don't put medicines in recycling or household waste.
βœ”οΈ Remove any cardboard boxes and paper leaflets and recycle these in your household paper and cardboard recycling.
βœ”οΈ If your blister pack is made entirely of aluminium foil (with no plastic backing), it can usually go in your kerbside recycling.

Every small action makes a difference. Thank you for helping us care for both your health and the health of our planet. πŸŒ±πŸ’™

A huge thank you to our Redbourn community for making us feel so welcome last weekend at

We loved seeing patients and families of all ages enjoying the sunshine and community spirit.
We appreciate those of you that took the time to share your feedback on the surgery and the service we provide to our local community and of course our smaller patients who got involved with learning more about fruit and healthy eating.

Our lovely Dr Power and one of our community nurses were on hand to offer health advice and check your blood pressure alongside our practice manager Stacey.

βœ… Please check your child’s vaccination record in their Red Book or the NHS App.

πŸ’‰ If your child has missed one or both doses of the MMR vaccine, please submit an eConsult to arrange a vaccination appointment.

The MMR vaccine is free on the NHS, safe, and highly effective at protecting against measles, mumps and rubella. An alternative vaccine is available for those who wish to avoid pork products.

If you are concerned your child may have measles, please check the symptoms on the NHS website and submit an eConsult or contact NHS 111 for advice before attending the surgery.

Help protect your child and our community β€” if your child’s MMR is outstanding, please submit an eConsult today.
