We all have habits we don't even realise.
Standing on the same leg.
Carrying your bag on the same shoulder.
Leaning into the same corner of the sofa.
They're small things—but over time, our bodies adapt to the movements we repeat most often.
This week's carousel is a reminder that sometimes the simplest changes can help us stay stronger, more balanced and keep doing the things we love.
Helping you keep doing the things you love. 💜

Our bodies naturally choose the easiest option.
But every now and then, choosing something just a little different can help keep us stronger, more balanced and moving well for longer.
It's not about making things harder or pushing through pain.
It's about giving your body more opportunities to stay capable—so you can keep doing the things you love.

There’s a moment in every day at the studio that I love.
Before the classes begin…
when everything is quiet…
and the space is ready for the people who will come in and move, breathe, and feel a little better than when they arrived.
That’s why I do what I do.
Not just exercise.
But creating a place where people feel supported in their bodies again.
Helping you keep doing the things you love.

Can you feel both legs working equally?
Have you ever noticed that you naturally stand more on one leg than the other?
Next time you're waiting in a queue or chatting to someone, take a moment to notice how you're standing.
Can you feel both legs working equally?
Sometimes the smallest changes in awareness can make a big difference over time.

What have you stopped doing in the last 10 years?
And more importantly...
Did you stop because you wanted to, or because it became harder?
A simple test...
When you go upstairs, are your legs doing the work, or is the handrail helping more than it used to?
Sometimes the changes happen so gradually we don't notice them.

Many of the changes we notice as we get older happen so gradually that we barely notice them.
We adapt.
We avoid certain things.
We become a little more careful.
And before we know it, we've accepted a lower level of strength and confidence than we had ten years ago.
The good news? Strength is something we can work on.
"I suppose it's just my age."
It's something I hear quite often.
Of course our bodies change as we get older, but sometimes what we're blaming on age is actually a loss of strength, confidence or movement quality.
And those are things we can work on.
Have you noticed any changes in how you move over the last 10 years?
In today's world, we're often encouraged to look for the quickest route to our destination.
Whether it's learning a new skill, starting a new career, or working towards a personal goal, it can be tempting to choose the path that promises the fastest results.
But sometimes the longer road is the more rewarding one.
Taking the time to build strong foundations, gain deeper knowledge, and develop real understanding doesn't just help us reach our goal—it helps us stay there.
As a Pilates teacher, the learning never really stops. The more we understand movement, anatomy, and how to support different people safely, the better equipped we are to make a lasting difference to our clients.
When you're eager to get started, patience isn't always easy. But investing in quality education, experience, and growth today can create opportunities and confidence that last for years to come.
Remember: you're not just working towards a qualification—you're building a future.
✨ Sometimes the longest route leads to the most rewarding destination.
Being able to get off the floor as we get older is so important. So that is my next video. I cut and slashed it but it is still quite long so if you are interested you can see the full video using this link https://youtu.be/hMa6C53pBZI to my youtube channel. I hope this is helpful to someone💜
