Some people just want to hit things as hard as they can.
The problem is, if you can’t control your power,
you don’t really control your technique. 👊
Learning to go hard is easy.
Learning to go light when you’re asked to?
That’s a skill.
Sometimes being a coach means having the patience of a saint. 😇
And for the record, I would never actually threaten a client with brain damage…
But if I let my intrusive thoughts win for 5 minutes, there’d be a few interesting conversations taking place. 😂

There’s always something to improve.
A technique to sharpen.
A mistake to fix.
That’s what keeps training interesting. 👊
Motivation comes and goes.
Commitment is different.
You don’t need to feel motivated
to make time for the people you care about.
You don’t need motivation
to show up to work.
You do those things because you’re committed to them. 👊
Training should be the same. 🥊
You won’t feel motivated every session.
Nobody does.
But if you want to improve,
you have to stay committed anyway. 🔥

But if the lad in blue had some level of training,
he might’ve recognised the signs that the other person was ready to fight.

Woke up this morning not wanting to train at all.
So I made myself do it anyway. 🏃♂️
That’s discipline.
