All about Bats!

Last night, we had a fascinating talk from our guest speaker, who shared insights into the world of bats in Worcester. The presentation highlighted the different species found locally, their habits, and the important role they play in the ecosystem, particularly in controlling insect populations. We also learned about the challenges bats face, including habitat loss and conservation concerns, as well as simple ways we can help protect them. It was an engaging and informative evening that gave us a new appreciation for these often misunderstood creatures.

Who knew that without Bats we wouldn't be enjoying chocolate, avocado or Tequilla?!? 😀

Great cakes provided by our lovely members and we welcomed 5 visitors.

A few Belles met up in Gheluvelt Park for a picnic, a chat and a good old laugh this evening. What a smashing group of ladies make up our group !

Wonderful demonstration this evening. Cooking with Wild Garlic. The pate and pesto proved extremely popular. Also fabulous selection of cakes, thanks to our brilliant bakers.

Five lovely Belles went to see the absolutely hilarious play Earnest on March 27th. Definitely a must see!!!

Becoming Led Zeppelin! The old rockers, a small but gorgeous group, enjoyed it very much !

This week we had our Christmas party. There was singing from Frances Fry which we all enjoyed, she brought some snowballs for us to throw at each other, which was great fun. We also did the Secret Sock Santa game. Then tucked into a fantastic buffet that everyone had contributed to. 2024 has been such a wonderful year. The Belles are such a wonderful group of women. We also collected £260 for The Worcester Food bank ! Cheers ladies, here's to another year of fun and friendship.
