Sometimes the story starts years before the pain does.
A foot that was propped up as a child.
An ankle that never quite learned to soften, lower, and lift the arch.
A body that quietly adapted for years… until eventually there was no more room to compensate.
Now the work is to gently unpick those patterns.
Not by forcing.
Not by “pushing through.”
But by reminding the brain and body what they are capable of.
Getting the feet, hips, ribs, spine and shoulders talking to each other again.
Helping the body find options it may not have used for years.
And the lovely thing?
Change can happen quicker than people think when the right pieces are put back in place.
This is the work I love most:
spotting the patterns, joining the dots, and watching someone begin to trust their body again.
One small movement at a time.

If your body can’t make this shape, walking gets much harder.
To walk well, your body needs to be able to make two different shapes.
When the head goes forward, the spine rounds, the ribs come back, and the pelvis tucks under.
That helps create your back leg.
When the head pulls back and lengthens up, the ribs come forward, the pelvis tips forward, and the arch in the back appears.
That helps create your front leg.
If you can’t make these shapes well — or one feels much harder than the other — your walking will start to compensate.
It may not happen overnight, but over time it can make walking feel awkward, heavy, or less efficient.
Comment and tell me which bit felt tricky — the head, ribs, spine or pelvis — or what didn’t make sense.
