So Easter has come around with a vengeance,
just before you know it Summers around the corner, lighter nights and of course Easter, the time we all like to get out, also as night follows day, there is another global event that is again starting to bite our pockets, yet again fuel prices are rising!!

So what better time to get those bicycles out the shed and get them road worthy.

Talking of Vengeance, one bike I regularly see in the workshop is a Halfords bike, the Carrera Vengeance, I’m guessing it must be one of their Best Sellers

Usual Faults are normally fairly inexpensive to fix and we also stock most of the parts that tney require.

It’s not often these days you get asked to build a Marin Team Issue with full period Shimano XTR, it took me straight back in time to my Bike Shop days, some of you may remember me back then in a well known Wrexham Bike shop, as rare as this bike build is now, back then it was quite normal to be building Custom Manitou, Marin, Merlin, Klien , Ritchey, GT, Cannondale’s. What a time to hone your bike mechanic skills in the late 80’s and 90’s it truly was an era when bicycle technology and materials started to develop and change

Don’t worry we can repair it!

I’ve repaired loads of bikes just like this over the years, in fact since 1988 🤣 those glorious days back in the bike shop!

Causes can be :-

Poor Factory alignment

Lack of pre delivery inspection (PDI)

Delivered in a Box requiring building

Lack of maintenance

A small knock on the rear derailleur

More often or not this damage is completely preventable with a Full Bike Service

Or when we reach this stage, rear mech has taken a trip into the rear rotating wheels
spokes, we see this regularly

Don’t worry we can rebuild it!
