Another fantastic weekend for Chirk CC, with standout performances across both the 1st XI and 2nd XI!

🔥 Barry Wilding (2nd XI) rolled back the years with a superb 118, anchoring the innings with a brilliant century.

⭐ Captain Dale Randall (2nd XI) produced an outstanding all-round display, smashing 115 runs before backing it up with 5 wickets to cap off a remarkable performance.

🏏 RESULTS 🏏

Another positive weekend for the club, with a dominant win for the 2nd XI and a battling performance from the 1st XI despite coming up short. 💚

The 1st XI found runs hard to come by against Wroxeter, finishing on 129 all out. Oliver Gough top-scored with 35, while James Carter added 29. Liam Walker (2-29) and Mark Shaw (2-47) picked up two wickets apiece, but Wroxeter reached 130-4 to claim the win, leaving Chirk with 9 points. 👏🏻

The 2nd XI produced a sensational all-round display to secure a 172-run victory over Pontesbury. Barry Wilding smashed a brilliant 118, while Dale Randall added 115 as Chirk piled on 327-3. Dale then completed a memorable all-round performance with outstanding figures of 5-24, supported by Rob Williams (1-20), as Pontesbury were restricted to 155-8. 🔥

33 points from the weekend, with another huge performance from the 2nd XI and plenty to build on as both sides look ahead to next week’s fixtures. 💪🏻

💯 Harry Lunt – A magnificent maiden century, finishing on 119 including 15 4’s to lead the 2nd XI with a superb innings.

🔥 Nitish Sharma – A brilliant spell of 4-56 from 12 overs, helping the 1st XI take control with the ball.

🏏 RESULTS 🏏

A mixed afternoon for our senior sides, with the 2nd XI earning a well-deserved winning draw while the 1st XI battled hard despite falling to defeat. 💚

The 1st XI came up against a strong St Georges 2nd XI side, posting 177 all out. Shaun Walker dug in with a patient 33, while Liam Walker added a quick-fire 27. Nitish Sharma claimed 4-56 and Matt Lawrenson took 3-36, but St Georges reached 212-9, leaving Chirk to take 9 valuable points. 👏🏻

The 2nd XI produced an excellent batting display to secure a winning draw against Cae Glas. Harry Lunt starred with a superb 119, while Rob Williams added a composed 50 as Chirk finished on 262-9. With the ball, Barry Wilding picked up 2-36 and George Collins claimed a wicket as Cae Glas closed on 201-6, earning Chirk 16 points. 🔥

25 points collected from the weekend, with plenty of positives to take into next week’s fixtures. 💪🏻

Another fantastic weekend for the club as both senior sides secured maximum points with two brilliant all-round performances! 💪🏻

The 1st XI held their nerve to claim a thrilling 5-run victory over Forton. Oliver Gough anchored the innings with a superb 66, while Gareth Partridge added 21, before Andrew Swarbrick produced a match-winning spell of 6-28 and A.Wali chipped in with 2-23 to bowl Forton out for 158. 🔥

The 2nd XI continued their excellent form with a commanding 70-run win over Corvedale. Bala Vajrala starred with a brilliant 87, well supported by Harry Lunt’s 42, before Dale Randall ripped through the batting with 6-31 and Alfie Shaw claimed 2-43 to seal another dominant victory. 🎯

Two wins, 48 points and another huge weekend for the club as both sides continue to build momentum heading into next week’s fixtures! 👏🏼

🧑‍✈️ A superb spell from Andrew Swarbrick (4-26), backed up by Luke Gardner (2-3), helped bowl Alberbury out for just 95, before Gareth Partridge’s unbeaten 55 guided the 1st XI to a comfortable 7-wicket victory. 💪🏼🔥

💚 A fantastic all-round team performance from the 2nd XI saw them post 206-5, with Bala Vajrala (34) and Dale Randall (33) leading the way, before Alfie Shaw (3-18) and Zahid Nasiri (3-30) helped seal a dominant 118-run win over Quatt 👏🏻
