Limerick AC was founded in 1877 and caters for all Athletic Events from Ages 5 to 80 years . We are based in University of Limerick .

Limerick AC is one of the oldest Athletic Clubs in Ireland - formed in 1877 - we cater for athletes from 5yrs to 80yrs+ . We cover all the Athletic Events from Road, Cross Country , Indoors & Track & Field . New Members are always given a great welcome at our Training Sessions . If you have not tried Athletics before or if you have being involved previously , why not come along to any of our Training Sessions and join our Athletes in one of the worlds few Global Sports .

Congratulations to Darragh Whelan who won the Limerick Award at the National Juvenile Star Awards, which were held at the Mullingar Park Hotel last Saturday.
This award recogniseโ€™s an outstanding 2025 season.

Fantastic results for the club at the National Juvenile indoor championships at the weekend that were held in Athlone. From Gold, Silver, & Bronze medals to many personal bests also.

What a fantastic weekend it was for our athletes, from Belfast to Nenagh, medals, PBโ€™s, Championship records set. Congratulations to all๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

On Saturday we had 4 athletes competing at Mallusk Playing Fields outside Belfast in the All Ireland Schools.
Darragh Whelan once again took victory taking the Boys Intermediate title representing Castletroy College ๐Ÿฅ‡ Darragh will represent Ireland at the SIABโ€™s in Bangor Wales on 21st March.

Grace Power was 4th in the Minor Girls and part of the winning team for Ursuline school Thurles.

Rian Kiely Keoghan was 16th in the Minor Boys.
Killian Coman placed 20th overall in the Junior Boys.
