Self-love a feminist issue — KIND LIVING
Anjum Rahman reminds us that a woman’s place has traditionally been defined through her relationships to others—not only in Asia or the Middle East, but also in the West. We’ve been brought up to believe that, as women, we are meant to act selflessly, be considerate of other people’s needs, ...

We feel it, but can’t always name it: the power of being seen — KIND LIVING
Why do we sometimes ignore our intuition when something doesn’t feel right—especially when others seem to benefit? This reflection explores the importance of resonance, presence, and feeling truly met in therapeutic work. Drawing on ideas from Stephen Porges and Interpersonal Neurobiology, it hi...

Three weeks on, and I’m still smiling when I think about our first women’s mini-retreat here in Dunedin 💛
Ten wonderful wahine came together — and honestly, it felt like the perfect constellation (as it so often does when women gather). Open hearts, open minds, plenty of laughter, depth, and ease. Together we created a space that was safe, nourishing, and genuinely fun.
Huge gratitude to each of you who showed up just as you were and helped make the afternoon what it was. My heart is full — and yes, I’m already dreaming up the next ones.

I was recently reminded of how important it is to choose who we want to be — in our relationships, in our responses, and in the small moments that make up our days.
This piece weaves together personal insights, the edges we’re invited to meet, and a learning that reminded me how easy it is to assume we know.
An invitation to honour where you are, and to listen for your own most authentic voice.
The choice we get to make every day — KIND LIVING
Growth sometimes asks us to lean into the current — and other times to simply hold steady. This post reflects on assumptions, discernment, and self-trust, inspired by a seminar, the Hopi story, and the experiences of others. It’s about honoring where we and others truly are, and finding the cour...

💖When was the last time you truly paused?💖
Not to catch up, not to plan, not to hold it all together — but to simply be with yourself.
If you’re craving a little space to slow down and reconnect, this is for you.
I’m offering a WOMEN'S MINI-RETREAT— a gentle afternoon of self-care, reflection, and connection with other wahine.
Sunday 25 January | 1–5pm
There’ll be time for quiet reflection, sharing in circle, collaging your own vision journal, tea, and a deeply restful Yoga Nidra.
All materials provided. No experience needed. Just come as you are.
