Our hours remain unchanged over the weekend, 10am-9pm on Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sunday.

Members aged 18+ can still visit from 6am-11pm any day of the week.

Join the Alpine Club at the 2026 Dunedin screenings of the iconic Banff Mountain Film Festival.

There's three screenings this year, starting this Thursday (7 May), with the Tasman programme, in which we meet legendary climber John (Verm) Sherman as he tries to convince his body to repeat a climb of one of the world’s most famous boulder problems. This movie - Old Man Lightning - is surely the best climbing/comedy/comeback ever made – with a conservation angle too. Old Man Lightning will make you laugh, cry, and maybe p*e yer pants. Seriously, don't miss this one! 🧗🌱.

In the Ruapehu programme, we travel to Patagonia for Reel Rock: Riders on the Storm. Big-wall climber Siebe Vanhee enlists Drew Smith and fellow Belgian countrymen Nico Favresse and Sean Villanueva O'Driscoll to attempt the first free ascent of the elusive Riders on the Storm route on the East Face of Torre Central. 💪🌧️

Our staffed hours on ANZAC day, Saturday the 25th of April, will be from 1pm-9pm.

Our other hours remain unchanged over the weekend, including on Monday.

Members aged 18+ can visit anytime between 6am-11pm regardless of our staffed hours

Here's a sneak peak from a couple of weeks ago of one of the main features of our new gym!

Looking for a fun school holiday activity? These school holidays we're offering guided climbing sessions for your child to get started with indoor bouldering.

These lessons are open to children aged 10 to 16 years old at $30 per session, shoe hire included.
These visits will include games and activities, with the instructor providing advice for all levels of experience.

Maximum 8 people per session, so send us an email to ask about booking a space now!
