Amazing to see so many new faces joining our club!!

And just like that, uni has finished up for 2025.
Last classes had small numbers since most headed off that week and the weekend before.
We do lose a few every year, that's just how it is when they graduate.
This fine gentleman Xij has been with me for a few years,
Quiet but fast, oh and wow can he jump.
Thanks for being with us buddy, also to the others who we didn't manage to get photos with.

Has been a busy year for Cody Thomson
2nd time trying out for New Zealand and he made it
We have enjoyed Cody's big smile and hard work on our hall over the years and finally we get to see the badge on him and maybe a cheekie little photo with the instructor of the uni club.
Otago University club was graced with the few who made the team from the other clubs and happy to share floor time when needed.
Maybe see some other badges before long

Huge congratulations to our incredible instructor, Mr Dean Jenkins, on receiving the ‘25 years of TKD’ recognition plaque at the Nationals in August 2025, alongside with GM McPhail and GM Davidson who celebrated 50 years of TKD! And presented by no other than Mr Norman Ng (in grey suit), the pioneer of NZ Taekwon-Do!

All the best to Cody Thomson and Esme Liesbeth Blaker as they represent NZ at the ITF World Championship this week in Croatia! Their unwavering determination, perseverance, and growth have been truly inspirational.

Congratulations to our club members who competed in the Nationals Tournament back in 23rd-24th August at Auckland. We brought home 3 Gold, 3 Silver & 2 Bronze medals. 🥇🥈🥉🥋
