Preseason Saturday 💪

While the Bulldogs were up playing on the beach at Maraetai and our Marist Women’s Maaia side taking on UMS in a preseason clash in Matamata, there was plenty happening back home at Marist on Saturday.

The Colts faced an invitational Japanese team in a training game.

The Premiers were deep into their training camp, putting in the work ahead of the season.

It was also awesome catching up with some familiar faces during the preseason friendly featuring Rotorua Boys’ High School and Sacred Heart College.

Big day. Plenty of rugby. Season loading… 🔥💚.

The Bulldogs went up the road to the beach yesterday, but fell 23–10 to the Sharks. Tough result today, but the Bulldogs will be back! 💪

Preseason Wrap-Up 🏉

A big weekend for the Bulldogs as preparations ramp up ahead of the season!

Friday night saw a strong hit-out against Morrinsville’s “Majestic Pukekos,” with plenty of positives to take away.

Our women’s team followed up with an opposed training game on Saturday morning, continuing to build combinations and momentum.

The Premiers and Colts then travelled to Karaka, where the Premiers played out an exciting 48–48 draw in a fast-paced, entertaining match. The Colts also put in a solid performance, staying in the contest throughout before going down by two tries late in the game. We wish the Karaka lads all the best in their start of Comp next week.

Valuable minutes across all grades as we edge closer to competition time — with the Bulldogs kicking things off next weekend!
