Exciting news, our court resurfacing project is underway!

The Plexipave team arrived this afternoon and applied the first undercoat to our Indoor Arena courts. It’s great to see this much anticipated upgrade taking shape!

Over the next few days, the team will build up the surface with further preparation and coating layers, followed by our new blue colour finish and court markings. Each layer needs time to dry before the next is applied, with a final curing period before the courts reopen for play.

The project also includes resurfacing outdoor courts 8 and 9, giving these courts a fresh new look too.

Thank you to our members, coaches and court users for your patience while the work is completed. We’ll keep you updated on progress and confirm when the courts are ready to welcome everyone back.

We can’t wait to see you enjoying the refreshed courts!

And we’re underway!
Our much anticipated court resurfacing project with Plexipave has officially begun.

The Plexipave crew are in the Indoor Arena today, using high pressure water cleaning to remove built up dirt and grime and prepare the courts for their fresh new surface.
Tomorrow the focus moves outdoors to show courts 8 and 9.

Big props to Maccoy and Ryan for pitching in with the squeegee duties, thanks guys!

We’re aiming to start resurfacing next week, subject to a suitable weather window for the outdoor courts.

Exciting times ahead for the Waikato Tennis Centre!
We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
