What if you decided to just be today? to sit with the very experience you’re in. to observe the moment, to soften the need for things to be different. could you sit with it?

Santosha (संतोष) is one of the niyamas from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Translated from Sanskrit to mean contentment, not in a passive way 〰️ more about choosing to be at ease with what is, without the need to change anything. an invitation to be in enoughness. that subtle shift from “I’ll feel better when…” to “I’m okay, even now.”

Exploring Viloma Breath ≋ (I love this practice ♡)

Also known as “Interrupted Breath,” this prāṇāyāma practice involves inhaling in gentle sips 〰️ belly, ribs, chest with small pauses between each, before letting the exhale flow long and smooth.

Viloma Breath slows the prāṇa, softens the body + settles the mind. each pause invites awareness of the subtle currents of the breath, while the exhale nourishes calm and balance in the nervous system.

Practicing Viloma encourages mindful presence in each inhale and exhale, helping you move through your day with more clarity, ease, and steadiness.

“Viloma” (विलोम) comes from Sanskrit: “vi” meaning against or reverse, and “loma” meaning hair or row, suggesting something layered or stepped. in practice, it describes a breath that moves against the usual flow 〰️ a pause, a sip, a mindful return cultivating rhythm, presence + ease.

Grounded A W A R E N E S S 〰️ Trauma-Informed Yoga for ACC Sensitive Claims clients

This is an invitation to slow down, tune into your body and notice what’s present.

Grounded Awareness is a gentle, trauma-informed space, moving slowly + with care ~ where everything is optional and choice is always at the centre ♡

I’ll be holding this space alongside Nathan Williams, co-facilitating to create a calm, inclusive + grounded environment 〰️

This group is open to all genders, 18+, with a current ACC Sensitive Claim, and who are supported by an ACC-registered therapist. Privacy + safety are held throughout.

Trauma-Informed Yoga for ACC Sensitive Claims clients 〰️ returning for Term 1, 2026

After the connection and warmth of our first group, I’m really looking forward to opening this space again to share this nurturing practice.

I’ll be joined once more by Lisa Chaplow ~ Counsellor and Certified Hakomi Somatic Therapist, holding the space alongside me with her care and experience ♡

This is an invitation to move at your own pace, reconnect with your body, and explore presence in your own way. Each movement is optional, guided with attention and respect.

These sessions are for women 18+ with an existing ACC sensitive claim, who are currently working with an ACC-registered therapist. The space is held safely and respectfully, honouring your privacy and choice throughout.

A new year doesn’t ask us to become someone else. it gently asks us to be honest with where we are 〰️

As we step into the weeks ahead, our practices will be guided by Satya (सत्य) 〰️ the yoga of truth. not the loud kind. not the performative kind. but the quiet truth that lives in the body, the breath + the present moment.

This season invites intention over expectation. listening instead of striving. meeting yourself honestly + letting that be enough x

I’ll be back in our sanctuary tomorrow, 6 january.
