A weekend exploration of Katonah yoga and the traditions of Hatha Yoga from which it emanates. Explore the historical context and development of yogic practice as well as a physical yoga practice with visiting teacher, Chase Connolly.

Saturday will prime our minds and bodies for the deeper states of pranayama and meditation. Through esoteric and restorative yoga techniques, we will plant the seeds within our intellect and subtle body to tend to the metaphor of the Body as a Garden.

Sunday will bring a dynamic look at the subtle body and how the Body as a Garden can be proofed by Hatha Yoga’s conception of the subtle body. We will cover the glandular system and its seeming relationship to the chakras, as well as the ecosystem of the energy body.

Yoga teaches us all about controlling our minds and bodies... using our intuition to choose a path. But what happens if that control is out of our hands?

Join Courtney Feldheim--amateur boxer, personal trainer
and self-defense instructor--for a workshop focusing
on the basic principles of self-defense:

-Key Striking & Target Areas
-Escape & Avoidance Techniques
-Anxiety Control
-Diffusing Aggressive Situations

This is sure to be an educational and empowering workshop. Spots are limited, so reserve yours and mark your calendar.

(Annual and monthly members are eligible for a 10% discount, DM or email for code)

Rounding out the year with a chance to learn the beauty of Buddhism. Feel free to message or email with any questions... Or visit Susannah while she is working the studio check-in desk on Thursday nights.

(This offering is not part of Yoga Union memberships or packages, $10 donation goes directly to the teacher.)

Our front desk credit card reader is currently unavailale. It's a known error and developers are apparently trying to fix it. In the meantime, we are unable to charge cards in the studio.

It would really help us out if you could do all your drop-in and Community Yoga payments online for a while until we get this straightened out. We also always take cash :-)

If you have any issues using the website or app for signups or payments, please message or email [email protected] and we'll try to help.

Thanks for your patience.

For those coming to class on Sunday... FALLS RD WILL BE CLOSED for the parade starting at approx 10am. So leave a little early and turn on that GPS for alternative routes.

"I have been practicing and teaching yoga for over 10 years. Yoga has been a valuable source of healing for me and sharing this practice with others is one of my greatest joys. I have participated in over 800 hours of yoga teacher training with so many wonderful teachers through Charm City Yoga, Kripalu Yoga Center, Pranakria Yoga, YogaWorks, and Katonah Yoga. My classes include vinyasa yoga, breath work, meditation, real world philosophy, and good music. Everyone is welcome in this no judgment space."

It's been brought to our attention that there may be some issues signing up for classes with the app, mainly with iPhone users.

If this is happening to you, you can give it a try on the website. Or just head on into class and we can sign you in.

We've passed our concerns along to the developer and maybe the internet overlords will have it fixed up soon.

Some tips so far... make sure the app and your phone are updated to the latest versions. You can also try deleting and reinstalling the app.

It's National Recovery Month, an observance held every September to educate Americans on various substance use and mental health services and celebrate those who have been transformed by recovery. We invite everyone to explore the many ways that yoga can help you find sustainability in your recovery.

In this two hour workshop, we will discuss how to integrate yoga philosophy, movement, breathwork, and meditation into your lifestyle. There will be time for open sharing for those interested. This space is one that encourages safety, nonjudgmental witness of ourselves, encouragement of self and those around you, and learning to connect inward so that we can authentically connect outward. You are encouraged to wear any clothing that is comfortable for you to move in and a journal if you would like to take notes or write your thoughts. Everyone is welcome, at any stage in your journey. There are mats and props available at the studio for use.

This workshop will be facilitated by Naomi Hurley; Naomi is six and a half years in recovery from drug and alcohol use, disordered eating, and self-harm. She has taught yoga at various inpatient and outpatient treatment centers since 2019. Yoga for Recovery is a space for you to invite yourself back into your heart, and find contentment in the present moment.

Hope is real. Recovery is real.
