Maddox's last day at Resolute📸

Maddox Welborn finished his time as a high school athlete as a Resolute athlete this past week.

Maddox will attend the University of Pennsylvania this year. He will play football for the Quakers. We are so grateful for who he is and all he has accomplished in his time with us.

A Bible verse that comes to mind when we think of Maddox is James 3:13 "Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom."

Maddox has grown in many ways throughout high school. However, his maturity and intentionality stand out above the rest.

Maddox is very thoughtful in his actions, efforts, and friendships. He may not be the loudest person in the room, but he always makes sure people know that he is there to support them. Tough and gentle. Strong and tender. Fierce and meek.

We love you, Maddox, and we look forward to watching your journey and seeing you again!

đź’«Coaching Spotlightđź’« Karlie Davison

Karlie joined the Resolute Staff this summer and has made an immense impact.

A Bible verse that comes to mind when we think of Karlie is Philippians 2:2-4: "Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."

Our athletes love how she makes them feel seen, understood, and supported.

Karlie is a great encourager who knows how to uphold high standards without sacrificing the ability to have fun and enjoy the journey along the way. She is servant-minded in her daily tasks.

We are better because she is with us.

Cade's last day at Resolute📸

Cade Campbell finished his first summer as Resolute athlete this week.

Cade will attend the University of Central Oklahoma this year. He will play baseball for the Bronchos (not a typo;)). We are so grateful for who he is and all he has accomplished in his time with us.

A Bible verse that comes to mind when we think of Noah is 1 Timothy 6:6-7 "But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world."

Cade displays an inner peace and perspective that allows him to have a quiet confidence in pursuing his best. He shows up with a consistent and strong work ethic and is excited to pursue his best and the best of others around him.

We love you, Cade, and we look forward to watching your journey and seeing you again!

Noah's last day at Resolute📸

Noah finished his first summer as a college athlete at Resolute this week.

Noah will attend the Tulane University this year. He will play baseball for the Green Wave. We are so grateful for who he is and all he has accomplished in his time with us.

A Bible verse that comes to mind when we think of Noah is Philippians 3:13-14 "Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

In the last several years, Noah as matured greatly in discipline and perseverance through the developmental process. He has leaned into difficulty and embraced necessary challenges to improve his physical, mental, and spiritual development.

We love you, Noah, and we look forward to watching your journey and seeing you again!

"Slaughter the Ox”

When God calls us to something, he asks us to drop everything that hinders us from Him, and follow faithfully, without turning back.  Following Elijah to be the next prophet of Israel cost Elisha everything.  His sacrifice of the oxen, and the burning of his yoke and plow made it so he could not go back to his old life.  Unwavering sacrifice.  Ultimate resolve.

Receiving a “Slaughter the Ox” shirt signifies one’s commitment to pursuing excellence in the service of others, no matter the cost. The honor has nothing to do with talent or ability.  It is a representation of unrelenting effort, a consistent desire to humbly improve, and unwavering passion to help everyone they encounter to achieve their God-given potential.  It is an honor that is not to be taken lightly, as those who receive it are looked at to uphold a standard of excellence in effort, humility, and character.

In his time at Resolute, Grant has been a contagious source of positivity. He has also, not had an easy road. Amidst returning from injury, he has had the same mindset and demeanor on a daily basis. His relentless consistency serves as a great example of what it means to be your best for others. We would not be the same without Grant's smile, encouragement, jokes, and genuine care for his peers.

“So he [Elijah] departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen in front of him, and he was with the twelfth. Elijah passed by him and cast his cloak upon him. And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, “Let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.” And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?” And he returned from following him and took the yoke of oxen and sacrificed them and boiled their flesh with the yokes of the oxen and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah and assisted him.”

Unwavering Commitment
Unflinching Resolve

Griffin's last day at Resolute📸

Griffin finished his first summer as an athlete at Resolute this week.

Griffin will attend the Harding University this year. He will play football for the Bison. We are so grateful for who he is and all he has accomplished in his time with us.

A Bible verse that comes to mind when we think of Griffin is Philippians 1:27: "Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel."

This summer we watched Griffin grow not only in physical capabilities, but also in his ability to mentally lean into very difficult challenges. He never chose easy. He was fearless in embracing hard.

Griffin doesn't let others settle for less than their best. He demands excellence and strives to live the same way outside of training and athletics.

We love you, Griffin, and we look forward to watching your journey and seeing you again!
