Nothing wrong with where I started, but learning how to train with intention + progressive overload changed my glutes completely.

Progressive overload in action 👏🏼🍑

I started my hip thrusts at 225 Ibs for 12 reps. Once I knew I could comfortably hit those reps with good form, it was time to increase the weight.

Next set: 275 Ibs for 8 reps.

This is what progressive overload can look like. You don’t need to completely change your workouts every week to see progress. Keep your main movements consistent and focus on gradually adding weight, reps, or improving your ex*****on over time.

I’l continue doing this week after week, pushing myself a little more when I’m ready. If you want to build muscle, you have to give your body a reason to adapt. Get comfortable with getting stronger.

If I had to grow my glutes all over again, these are the 3 things I’d focus on FIRST. 🍑

1. Train glutes 2-3x a week: One glute day here and there isn’t enough. Consistency + enough weekly volume matters if you actually want them to grow.

2. Progressively overload: Stop grabbing the same weights every single week. Track your lifts and work toward more weight, more reps, or better ex*****on over time. Your muscles need a reason to adapt.

3. Eat enough protein + FOOD: You cannot expect to build muscle while constantly under eating. Prioritize your protein, fuel your workouts, and give your body what it needs to actually BUILD.

Glute growth isn’t about finding a secret exercise. It’s about doing the right things consistently and getting stronger over time.

I’ve always had a “butt” thanks to genetics, but having a butt and actually building your glutes are two different things.

Genetics gave me the foundation. Training built the muscle.
