Fitness is one of the best things you can pass on to the next generation.

Had a great time at our first Father-Son Training Day today. Just some dads and sons getting a workout in together, pushing each other, competing a little, and having fun.

Days like today are a good reminder that the gym can be about a lot more than fitness. It’s time together, setting the example, and making memories.

Big shoutout to all the dads and sons who showed up ready to work. Safe to say this won’t be the last. Who’s in for the next one? 👊🔥

There were a lot of names on this list this month, and that’s what we love to see. Let’s keep it growing!

Today’s ‘Jesus’ workout reminded us of sacrifice, endurance, and the strength that changed everything. The WOD was built around the 14 Stations of the Cross — including the three times Jesus fell on His path from Gabbatha to Golgotha, and finally, His body being laid in the tomb.
Easter at CrossFit Rutherford is about more than fitness. It’s about honoring a journey marked by suffering, love, and a sacrifice far greater than any challenge we face in the gym.
Gratitude is our posture today.

We loved watching our crew take on The Via Dolorosa — the ‘Way of Sorrow,’ the path Jesus walked to His crucifixion. Though the route is only about 600 meters, the true weight of that journey came from His suffering and the burden of the cross. Tradition tells us Jesus carried the crossbar for part of the way, with Simon of Cyrene helping carry it the rest. Our Good Friday workout was our small way of honoring a sacrifice far greater than any physical challenge.

We’re teaming up with ReForm Physical Therapy for a Back Pain + Bracing Workshop and this is one you don’t want to miss.

Tomorrow we take on Litmus Test #3.

These four already got a crack at it… and let’s just say it’s a grinder 😮‍💨

Nothing crazy complicated. Just one of those workouts where you’ve got to settle in and keep moving. Runs, machines, and a few other pieces (hybrid race vibe… IYKYK).

Come in and give it a shot. We’ll be building on this over the next several weeks, then retesting to see your progress!!

Johnny started CrossFit in 2006 at 59 years old, and this year marks 20 years of him doing CrossFit.

When the CrossFit Open started in 2011, he signed up and has done it every year since. Today Johnny completed his 16th Open 🤯

Now at 79, Johnny is still in the gym doing his thing.

He is also a regular in our Essentials program and consistently shows up to put the work in with that group. His story is a good reminder that no matter where you are starting from, you can decide to start and make a change.

And if you have ever seen Johnny move, you know one thing he might have on everyone else in the gym is his flexibility and mobility. It is honestly impressive.

Sixteen Opens later, and continuing to make a positive change in his life. 💪
