Don’t judge too harshly, I have like only 7 months worth of Tap class under my belt. We’re struggling here. 😅
It’s summer break but that doesn’t mean I can’t try learning on my own until classes start in the fall again. 😮💨
Took me 3 hours yesterday to just get the sequences down. Working on syncopation and staying off my heels now. Also, why are there 2 versions (what I gathered from my search)? 👀

I know I teach Hip Hop but I’m having a moment and just need you to bear with me for the next two weeks.
I really want to try something since the next 2 weeks feel like a transitional period for me (after performances and training and pushing my body a little too far), I figured I’d lean into the mood and do something different and exploratory, yet still fun BEFORE my official break.
We’re working with sharper (for me) movements, straighter lines (at least attempt it 👀) and less groove (yikes 😅) and really leaning into the performance with this one.
Also, what you see tomorrow in class might be different from what you see in the video —same song, I just might lean more in one direction than I intended.
I’m feeling a little self conscious about this BUT it’s been bugging the heck out of me so I’m just going to listen to my gut and if y’all hate it, we won’t do it again. lol
