This Men's Health Week, we asked our clients and team one simple question: what health advice would you give younger you?
Their answers might just be the nudge you needed. It's never too early, or too late, to start looking after yourself. Book with our team via the link in bio.

Offers Exercise Physiology, Clinical Reformer Pilates, rehabilitation, individual/group programs, DVA, EPC and Workcover services.
POV: your EP the second you say "I think I can go heavier" π
The look. The stare. The "you want the easy way or the hard way?" energy. Cue another personal best smashed πͺ
Disclaimer: no clients were harmed in the making of this reel. In real life there's a lot more high-fives, a lot more "great work", and a strength plan built around YOUR goals (not a Chemical Brothers soundtrack). We promise we're much friendlier than this looks π€
Whether you're recovering from a workplace injury, managing chronic pain, returning to the sport you love, or simply wanting to move better as you age - you deserve the right support every step of the way. πͺ
Our Exercise Physiologists meet you where you are and build a plan that gets you where you want to be. No cookie-cutter programs, no guesswork - just tailored, evidence-based movement that works for your body and your goals.
Because the right exercise, done the right way, can change how you feel day to day.
Movement is medicine, let's use it well. β¨
Meet Killarney - Physiotherapist at our Labrador Clinic π
With a background that spans elite sport and everyday rehab, Killarney brings something a little different to the table. She's worked with athletes at the top level, including the New Zealand Men's Netball Team and the Cook Islands U21 squad, and as a semi-professional netballer herself, she knows firsthand what training, injury and recovery really feel like. π
You don't need to be an athlete to benefit from her experience. Whether you're nursing a ni**le, recovering from an injury, training towards a goal, or just wanting to move better and stay strong, Killarney builds practical, tailored plans that fit into your life - not the other way around.
From pain and injury management to sports physio and getting you back doing what you love, she's here to help you move well and stay active for the long run. πͺ
Killarney is taking on new patients at Labrador now. Book via the link in our bio.
Meet Lara π
Lara is one of our Senior Exercise Physiologists at our Cleveland clinic, with a special interest in helping older women get back into the gym, build strength and feel confident in their bodies again.
She works closely with clients managing osteoporosis and osteopenia, using safe, progressive resistance training to support bone health, improve mobility and reduce the risk of falls. Lara takes an evidence-based, client-centred approach - tailoring each program to your goals and meeting you exactly where you're at, whether you're new to the gym or returning after time away. She also supports clients with hydrotherapy, active ageing, chronic condition management and neurological conditions including Parkinson's and MS.
If you're ready to move better, get stronger and live a healthier, more active life, Lara is here to help. Book with Lara at Hiya Health Cleveland today: https://hubs.li/Q04jSqZY0

It's a wrap on Exercise Right Week! πͺ
Last week, we opened our clinic doors to offer free health checks in support of Exercise Right Week and to encourage our local communities to get moving.
Thank you to everyone who popped in for a check and asked us questions - we're so glad you took a positive step for your health.
And thank you to the local councillors who came along to support our events - your support means a lot to us!
Exercise Right Week is a great reminder, but real results come from showing up consistently. The right movement, done regularly and guided by the right people, is what actually shifts the dial on your health.
So don't let it stop here. Health isn't a one-week thing, and neither are we. Our team is ready to help you keep the momentum going all year round. π§‘
Your exercise physiologist tells you one leg is stronger than the otherβ¦ but what does that actually mean? π€π
In this video, Sophie from Hiya Health breaks down how to interpret VALD Dynamo testing results and what the numbers can actually tell us about:
πββοΈ Quad and hamstring strength
βοΈ Limb asymmetries
β±οΈ Time to peak force
π Performance and injury risk
This is why objective testing matters - if youβre not testing, youβre guessing.
At Hiya Health, we use VALD technology to help athletes and everyday individuals better understand their strength, movement, and injury risk so training and rehab decisions are based on real data, not assumptions.
Whether youβre returning from injury, chasing performance goals, or just wanting to move better, come into one of our clinics and see what your numbers say π
Curious about your bone health? Jo from BoneCompass is back at our Redcliffe clinic, offering bone density scans that give adults a clearer picture of what's happening beneath the surface. Whether you're tracking changes over time, managing known risk factors, or simply want to understand your bone health better, a scan with Jo is a great starting point.
