🥎 U16 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS WRAP UP 🥎

That’s a wrap on the U16 State Championships! 👏

Our U16 Girls, competing alongside Orange District Softball Association, finished 6th out of 9 teams, picking up two great wins across the weekend:
🔥 15–4 vs Sutherland
🔥 16–10 vs Macarthur

A great effort from the girls and plenty to be proud of across the tournament! 💪

Our U16 Boys may not have picked up a win this weekend, but the scoreboard certainly doesn’t tell the whole story. The boys battled hard throughout the tournament and came incredibly close in some tight contests, including an 8–9 game against Georges River and a 2–3 game against the ACT 89ers.

A massive congratulations to all of our players for representing Newcastle with pride throughout the weekend. We hope you had plenty of fun, made some great memories and came away with lots of experience to take into the next tournament! 🥎

A big thank you as well to our coaches, managers, officials, families and supporters who helped make the weekend possible. 💚🖤🤍

Day 1 may not have gone the way our girls had hoped, going 0–3, but there were plenty of positives to take away and another opportunity awaits today!

Playing as a combined Newcastle & Orange team, the girls have shown great teamwork, resilience and support for one another as they continue to build connections both on and off the diamond.

Wishing the team the very best for today's games. Play hard, back each other, enjoy every moment and most importantly, have fun! 💚🧡🥎

🥎 U16 Boys – Day 1 Wrap Up!

Day 1 of the U16 State Championships is done and dusted for our Newcastle boys! 💚

While the results didn’t quite fall our way today, with the boys going 0–3, there were still plenty of positives to take away and, most importantly, plenty of smiles and a great time out on the diamond! 🥎

Great to see the boys enjoying their time on the diamond – have fun and good luck for Day 2! 👏💚
